Glad you had a great time away with your lovely family, you look great, and your glowing with happy.

I am a fellow apple, HELLO!

ok...that weekend is in the past....yes it was a bad bad bad one...O well...we will see the damage tomorrow for my official weigh-in.....but more good days than bad days is what I am aiming for...and I will get there no matter what....my attitiude is totally different this time....before if I went off the wagon for a weekend...it would turn in to the whole week...which would turn into the month and before I knew it...6 months or a year past and I didn't change a thing....NOT THIS TIME...the weekend is past and I will be back on track on MONDAY!!

I am completely with you there... The slip ups which you don't get back up from! That's why I'm so determined to get back up again after I fall now, I dunno about you but I look back on all my unsuccessful diets, and I just think that IF ONLY I had stuck to them, I would be slim now, I really don't want to feel like that again, ever. I am going to dust myself off and try again every time. The weekends where calories go AWOL don't matter, the thing that matters is that it doesn't become a way of life again. We have got it SUSSED lol.

Ooooh, The claw! I went on that one last weekend :) ON MY OWN! Literally there was no-one else on the ride because adventure island was closing. No-one else to scream in unison with :)

It really is so sad that woman was turned away. It must be so humiliating.

i feel bad for those people as well , but a little part inside me wonders why do they not do something about themselves,if there is no medical reason.?it is horrible to live and not love or at least like yourself. And just a very few of overweight people are ok about themselves. The rest are unhappy. And you CAN see that in their eyes.i wish i could scream out that if YOU PUT YOUR MIND ON IT YOU WILL BE BETTER,Not only changing your body but your mind aswell

Sorry if im nosy , but where is the trip to?I love trips any kind of travel! How long is it for?I have never gone on a cruise but think it must be super exiting!!!!/do you make stop at places and get of?

It was sad...very sad.

I love thrill rides...love them...my baby who turned 14 today BTW :( :( also loves them so we have a great time.

But keep on keeping on is what we are all going to do this time..and not having unrealistic goals seems to be keeping me in check too. We mess up...WE MOVE ON!! thats it!! :hurray::hurray:

Not nosy at all.....we have once cruised out of Florida from Port Canaveral to the British and US Virgin Islands (St Thomas and St Marteen) and Disney Cruise Lines Private Island called Castaway Cay in the Bahamas .....and our last cruise from was from Miami to Cozumel, Mexico and Key West Florida on Carnival Cruise line.

We are headed back to Disney Cruise Line on their new mega ship called the Dream and it is a Bahamian Cruise with stops in Nassau and Castaway Cay. We would travel on Disney even if we were alone...the service, food and entertainment is top notch...we are not gamblers so we don't miss not having the casino...I will cruise on other lines...but if funds and time allows Disney has my heart and buck :)

Seriously, keep up the great work! Remember that you don't have to lose 10 pounds a week to feel great about your weight loss. I would boost up your strength training, personally, cardio is great (and I know a number of people who have way too much fun doing Zumba...) but by doing strength training you'll build more muscle which means you'll burn more calories in general!

On a side note... I LOVE ramen noodles.... which are terrible for you in all different ways. I generally will gain some water weight, but I don't eat them very often. Also make sure that you eat a good breakfast, I've read research that shows a high protein breakfast will keep you going longer than a high carb breakfast. So eat those eggs on the weekends! (One egg is around 70 calories, so tailor that on what you normally have)

Thanks for stopping in ebrown... excellent advice :)

Had a bad day eating on the opposite end today..only 1091 in calories....I just got home from leaving at 5:30am...its just one of those days :banghead:

I really felt good at Zumba tonight... worked hard and got a good sweat on...BodyBugg had me at 820 for the days activity.... 2 mile walk plus 55 minute class.

Surprised with my energy today with so little calories in ...but calories are accumulative... so a really low day is not gonna hurt after the weekend I had.

Did my PS3 Active yesterday and my heart rate recovery is still kinda slow....and I have been doing almost all cardio for 16 weeks...you would think it would be super fast by now... a slow heart rate recovery is bad...just in case you didn't know.

I had some minor heart/angina issues in the fall of '10 and it was a big wake up call that took a few months of reality that meds at 37 were gonna be life long if I didn't do something...I missed my follow up in June...just forgot about it...and the reminder came in the mail after the date.

Guess I should call and set another up appointment...ugh...I so don't want to deal with it...I just want my exercise and healthy eating to take care of it.....ok I am being a baby ..I know...but it just sucks...if I can't fix me!!!

When you're very tired or dont take enough rest, it also affects your recovery heart rate. Rest is very important. Do you have à good plan for your cardio training?

I wasn't aware that rest affects it...thanks...when I am in the "zone"...I alternate daily between Zumba 2 times a week and 4 and 5 mile walks 2 times a week at a pace of 16ish minute miles..I usually incorporate 1 minute of sprinting for every 3 minutes of walking.

So its 4 days of cardio and 1 day of strength and 2 days off...So I think I have a good plan. I do light resistance bands once a week also. Any suggestions?

I know you don't want to deal with it and make another appointment... but you have to do it. If you don't do it for yourself, do it for your family, they would be horrified if they knew you had missed such an impotant appointment. You are doing all the right things with your exercise and eating, and I bet your heart recovary rate wouldn't have improved anywhere near as much if you hadn't.

But you need to be checked by the pro's! So ring them FIRST THING TOMORROW!!!!!! x

:blush5: I will call Friday ladies I promise...hubby caught wind of me missing too...I think we have ESP after 20 years together...scary!!! and was reading me the riot act.

I haven't had an attack in months...stopped all the diet sodas (aspartame) and changed my 32 ounces of black coffee to 32 ounces of black tea with lemon...plus the 25+ pounds gone have helped too. So I am not overly concerned...but I will reschedule...scouts honor ;)

I'm sure all of the changes you've made and the weight loss have put you in a much better place than the last time the doctors saw you!! Just book the darn appointment!

I re-made my Cardiologist appointment..are all my "moms" happy..haha..joke! :biggrinjester: Its 9-29-11...its kinda like mini goal to get in the best shape I can by than...so its a good thing.

So I weighed in at 192.4 this morning...I am so glad we have nothing planned for the next two weekend...they are so hard for me and especially when we leave town..or have a function...seems like I waste that week...I may not gain much...but I sure don't lose any either!! :piggy::piggy:

:banghead: If I am not 189 by July 31st...I am gonna scream!!!!!!!!!! lol

....and its hotter than hell right now...it was 83 degrees at 5:30am!! Supposed to get up to 100+ today...We North Easterners are not use to that...we start wearing shorts at 50 degrees because we think its summer....we start whining at 80...and anything after that is just HELL!!! I really wanted to get out and walk/run today..it always seems to break the mental plateau for me as well as the physical ones....but NOT in this heat..no Way!!

So I have another wedding at the end of August...and my niece was down last nite and asked "how" dressed up I was going....and I was thinking about it and decided to try on my favorite LBD that I have saved for 8 years because I loved it so much and I always hoped I could fit into it again some day...well I tried it on and it "fit"...it didn't fit properly...but it FIT!! It was such a motivator this morning I could go out and run 10 miles!! The wedding is Aug 27th ..I think I really could fit into it by then.

So here is a comparison a LBD I was forced to buy for a wedding last year...size 18!! and my favorite "little black dress" size 14... Its a slip dress with spaghetti straps...Just the fact that I could get it over my "girls" and it fit my back... brought tears to my eyes!

I love love love reading your journal! You are super motivated and positive. I need to remember people like you when I have fat moments.

I think I have a fat moment every night before my shower. The lights in our bathroom are terrible, they are super bright and shine down at an angle that makes EVERY dimple look like a cavern. My kind-of flat but still chubby stomach turns into a bowl of cottage cheese. I hate it! I need to get a lamp for in there :)

You look so great in all your pics, stay motivated!

Hey, good to see you've continued to the hard work, nice! I'm sure you'll reach your goal, 1 more week, you can do it! :D

HORRAY!!!! You fit into the size 14 dress! The size difference between the two dresses are huge, and you should be so proud of yourself!

Glad you booked another appointment "daughter" lol.

thats so great!it seems today for lots of us is the everything fits day!!!you've done so great im really happy for you!!!and i am sure you will fit in that little dress properly by the end of august!

Everyone seems to have disappeared today :(

Hope you are behaving yourself! x

O rainbow..I guess I was kinda bad...I ate my maintenance calories and didn't exercise..but did go for a small walk and swam...and stood in the scoring sun for 3 hours...I know I burned...100000000000 calories...or at least skin cells...haha.

My SIL was home and we had family over for a nite swim and a fire with s'mores and mountain pies...we live in a very rural area and its common for everyone to have fire pits...in the backyard...so if you don't know what Mountain Pies are...its a concoction of any type of bread and any type of filling and you bake them in a cast iron....well iron type thing...lol. We like the pizza ones....but I was good and only had one...and I seriously would have loved to eat 4 they were yummmmmmmmmmmy!!!

Well today is Zumba and I bought a new DVD the other day and I really want to try it out...so maybe I'll work out twice today..to make up for my bad day...that is a BIG MAYBE!! :)
