Lost approximately 90 pounds (Photo included)

I'm 19 years old and in college, and have been heavy most my life. One day I was sick of it and starting lifting weights, using the bowflex, and doing cardio. I have quadrupled my strength since I first begun. I used to NEVER get attention from the ladies. Now they stare at me, feels really weird, but I'm not complaining :blush5:. I actually got a girlfriend now :)

Cardio days: 50 to 80 minutes on exercise bike, or jogging 3 miles.

Lifting days, Standing bicep curls (up to 55 pound dumbbells each arm), Bench press(265 pounds), Squats(200 pound), Tricep extensions(50 pounds), Row overs(120 pounds), Leg extensions(90 pounds each leg), Military press(140 pounds). Push ups(42), I'm starting to do more and more lifts now that I can, and will add more in the future.

Diet: 1900 calorie diet, 40% protein, 40% carbs, 20% fat from calories.

Protein had Whey protein shakes factored in, and carbs were mostly slow-carbs (whole wheat, beans, yams)

I want to lose about 15 more pounds of fat, then start a 2300 calorie diet, and focus more on building muscle.

Woah very nice... you look absolutely amazing!
It's a huge inspiration to see results like that, kudos!

Thanks for the note on my before and during thread! Looks like you're accomplishing what I'm trying to do already!

Dude, you are a stud! That 's the physique I'm looking for.

Congratulation for your success! I like you in both pics by the way, but of course you look healthier in the second one.

Good luck with the remaining 15lbs

Great job! Your workouts are amazing and all of that hard work shows! What was your motivation?

oohhhh looking good!

40/40/20 diet! I used to follow such things, eating only chicken breast broccoli and oatmeal though...I fell off after losing 30 pounds..but good for you!!!! :)

I find the 40/40/20 diet to be really easy to live with. I can eat a lot of skinless chicken, fish, tuna, lean beef. Then you can have like beens, whole grain bread, yams. On my cheat days I do eat white carbs though. I read the book "Burn the fat, feed the muscle", and it appears that 40% protein 35 to 40% carbs, and the rest fat is a good muscle building ratio for your total calorie intakes. I'm gonna start lifting heavier, and maybe tweak the protein and carb ratios.

Wow great job!

I know how you feel with the weird feelings when you're being checked out. Its unexplainable.:leaving:

Dude, you just gave me so much inspiration. Your size now is where I'm aiming for, and I have less to lose than you did so I know I can do it. Congrats on all the hard work you put in!

Encouraging man,

I look like your before picture, hope I can get to your after.

How often do you lift? Is that all on the bowflex?

You look great! I'm so happy the girls are noticing you. Your girl friend is lucky, because she's got the personality of the old you-(not supper cocky like some people born with a perfect body)- and the body of a stud. That's what happened to me, I met my hubby after he lost a bunch of weight, and I didn't know he was so heavy at one time. I couldn't figure out how this supper hotty was so sweet and shy and normal and how I ended up with him, considering I was not really in his ball park. So best of luck to you too, and I hope you can meet your goal! BY THE WAY.. what does this 20 20 40 mean... do you think you could teach me so I can try it out?
