Lost about 25 pounds so far

So I probably started about 6-7 weeks ago and have lost about 25 pounds give or take. I have definitely noticed a difference in my face and arms, but stomach is still kinda big. :( I'll try to post a couple pics if I can find any. I started at about 265 and am about 240 now. I don't really have a weight loss number goal, but just to not have any excess fat.

edit- Here are some pictures, not sure how great the quality is because some of them are with the cell phone. Wish I had a body picture for before, but o well. It also seems I'm to lazy to shave before any pictures.

I can't believe you lost 25lbs in 6-7 wks!! That's amazing, I wish I had that kind of will power!! You can definitely see the loss in your face. Good luck with the rest of your weight loss! Looks like you'll be there in no time!

Yea well my weight loss has been slowing down a lot. :( The last week I probably lost around 1 pound.

Dont get discouraged sometimes the loss slows down but its up to you to stay motivated-i definitely see the diffrence!

Your weight loss has slowed down b/c you were not uber-big to begin with and you lost too much weight too quickly.

What do you think I should do differently than I am now to make my weight loss healthier?

I pretty much just eat 3 healthy meals a day and run every night.

How much calories do you think you are consuming.

I try to aim for 1500-1800 calories a day (its ironic, i'm too lazy to count, but I will soon)

I try to eat 5-6 meals (or snacks) a day. I'm like you, though, I do cardio every day.

Have you started any sought of weight/resistance training yet?

But in all fairness, 1 lb isn't that bad.

I think probably 1500 calories a day is what I do now, and I do crunches and curls (with only 15 pound weights) every day also.

It's my understanding that your muscles need a day to recoup for lack of a better term. The first thing you might want to do is cut the crunches and weight training down to every other day. That is the most beneficial way to do wieght, strength training from what I have heard from the good people here and others. You also might want to up your calories to around 1700-1800. You look fairly tall and you probably need more calories. If you don't get enough, your body will go into starvation mode and hang on to the extra weight as a defense mechanism.

Congrats on the wieght loss so far, you look good. :)

Yea I'm 6'5". Thanks for the tips though, I might start doing more crunches and weight training then but just do it every other day. I'll also try to just eat that couple extra hundred calories a day.
