losing weight

Can i still loose weight if i exercise but dont eat healty foods? Im on the basketball team so i exercise monday-friday. sometimes saturday, i want to get rid of some of the fat around my stomach(love handles)

How does one get overweight in the first place? Eating unhealthy, junk food on a daily basis.

When you get serious about weight loss then we'll be here to offer suggestions.
 
Chillax heh, dont flame this dude he might be new to the game. You kind of gotta think of it as if u do eat unhealthy and what not daily ur just offsetting ur workout so ur not goin newhere just put ur mind to it its ezier then u think.
 
Some people can initially lose some weight by adding in exercise to their life, while eating the same, I've seen it happen before.

Notice I said "initially", meaning you will have to change what you are eating at some point, or the weight loss will stop.
 
thanks for the tips... Is it bad to eat late? like sometimes a couple hours after dinner i like to go eat a snack before i sleep.
 
depends on the snack. if its lean protein, then its a great thing. if its a Coke and a bag of chips...then no, its aweful.
 
It also depends on what the rest of your day loooks like and the totalamount of calories you already took in -vs- what you should be taking in.

It sounds confusing, but I keep it simple by eating a protein and a good carb every 3 hours.

Basically you will want to eat healthy foods, especially if your on a sports team, like basketball. You'll notice that youll lose that fat, you'll get stronger faster, and your vert will improve because of these things. Overall you will become a much better althelte if you eat healther.
 
I heard its bad to eat before you sleep, no matter what you eat? true? if not can you list some things i can eat before sleeping
 
Yes, you can lose weight without using a healthy diet, simply burn off more than you take in. Sure it's completly stupid, but it's possible.

Also, eat before bed, half a cup of cottage cheese or so is great, if you do not eat, your body will enter a catabolic state,therefor your metabolism slows down, and this = bad my friend.
 
I'll also say yes, it's possible. Basketball players eat like shyt but have good physiques because they're hauling azz up and down a court all day.
