Losing weight/Working out with only a 20 lb dumbell help

Hi I barely began my diet, I know the healthy weight loss is 1-2 lbs a week but this week i lost 4 lbs is this bad? By the way im 5'4 149 lbs well now 145 since i lost 4 lbs.

I'm not starving myself either I'm just eating better and running more.

I don't think i lost muscle because i barely began lifting my 20 lb dumbell (im pretty weak) so that has been helping me.



Onto my next question, If i have only a 20 lb dumbell and two 5 lb dumbells is there any tips you can give me to use those to the best i can to get some muscles and possible a 6 pack when i lose more weight later on.

working out with your arms alone won't get ou where u want to be man. if u want 6 pack, u need to workout your whole body out. u need to start creating a plan for ur lowerbody, legs,hamstrings,quadriceps, etc.

theres no such thing as spot reducing, u wont get 6 pack if u just lift dumbbells all week long lol

u also need to start a regime with cardiovascular exercise. try running outside more often or bike or w/e. try HIIT, where you run for 2 minutes straight *high effort* and take a minute break, then repeat, for up to 30 minutes or more. burn off the fat, but wont burn ur muscles that you already developed as much as if you would do cardio at a balanced speed.
 
oh and in addition,

you should eat more. ur weak. u need muscles. having a surplus of calories, i'd say for you. bout like 3.5k - 4.5k calories a day. also eat good food not bad. so later when you want to get cut, it will be easier. cuz your body is filled with nutrients that were good from the beginnin. =]
