Ok, so, my name is Emily, and i have been on the site before. I have had one or two accounts on here, but this time ive got to get serious. I have said it every other time too, but....i desperately want his time to be different, so it is up to me. So, hopefully i will stay motivated and i looke forward to becomin friends with many new people.

Alright, so...today i went to Trav's family's Christmas ge together, and i was the only heavy chick there.....and so i got me thinkin.....next year when i come back im not gonna be he heavy chick, im gonna be the hottie!!! :D Can't wait to start seeing results!!! Hope to see some of u around in the challenges. Good luck to everyone!

Hi Emily,
You can do whatever you think you can. Last Christmas I was one of the heaviest people at my husbands Christmas party. When I went this year I could just see it in their eyes that they were saying "WOW" because I looked totally different. It made me feel great and I had so much more confidence being there. Next year I want to be even more in shape and I want to hear the words "Damn" when I walk in:drool5:

ok so im gettin ready to go to work and it got me thinkin. hopefull yall can help. i have a stand still job, i dont sit, i stand all day, but im not a cashier, what are some things i can do to maybe move or burn a few calories???? all i do is answer phones and do the fitting room at wal mart....so not alo of moving involved....:( well, i go in a 3 and get off a 12 so see yall then!!!

HI YOU!!! I remember when you were here last time.

First thoughts about the standing job, is to march in place as much as you can get by with & fidget..fidget..fidget. Movement adds up. The more the better, but if all you can do is wiggle your foot under a desk, its more than just sitting there. Any chance you can do more fitting room checks & get in a few laps around the area... maybe once every 10 minutes or so?
 
HIYA MOON AND MAL!!! :D im glad yall remember me too! :) Yea, i could do that. i also try like squattin down behind the desk, lol. sounds kinda funny but oh well. mal, yea, i def need to keep that in mind, i know i have got to stick with it this time....im gettin older...i know im no where near old...but one year without doin something will turn into 2 and then 5 and ten and so on....i dont want that to happen to me.

This mornin has been pretty good, tryin to clean to burn some cals. gotta go get ready for work in a few i guess. they have had me on 6 days lately b/c of christmas....and omg, walmart is crazy durin christmas.....yikes, dont even wanna think abou it any more, lol. good news is i dropped a pound =D lol im so excited, hope to talk more soon!!

Cats~lol, yea its pretty kool name :) I like it better than my other name, which is Melissa. i dont mind melissa, but i like emily better. :)
 
so today was a pretty good day, work was alright, went out with some friends to kfc, but i just ordered a bowl and didnt even eat all of it....it was so good tho~! Well, tomorrow is gonna be my weigh in day. letcha know the results in the mornin i guess. ttythen.

remember that it's a process... and you're l ooking at the big picture -not just one weigh in.. Into each life a little KFC (shudder) will fall... make the best choices and don't go crazy... enjoy what you eat... and keep going...

Good for you for not finishing it. Thats a challenge for me. Usually if its in front of me I end up finishing it. Haven't tried one of those bowls, but I bet its so good that it would be hard to not gobble it up. Congrats on just eating what you needed.
 
thanks for the support gals~ i dont know why i didnt think of this last night, but readin ur comments reminded me....i read this article where a woman didn really go on a "diet" but she started something she called the three bite rule. she would eat whatever she wanted, literally, but she would only take three bites of it and be done....and supposedly she lost alot of weight...its not what i would call a fad diet....but i dont think i have the will power to only eat three bites of a KFC bowl :D lol


~Well, weighed in today and did a helluva lot better than i expected :) down to 272....i've been here before, but for some reason i always go right back up....i think after i start doin good i start thinkin hey i can splurge here and there and then i just splurge everywhere:lurk5: i love those little guys, lol. well, guess im gonna go catch up on my threads/posts and most enjoyable of all.....update my ticker!!! YAY! talk to yall soon!

Given your height and weight, you should probably be eating at least 2,000 calories a day. Some more protein, fruits, and veggies would help, though.

Congrats on the loss!

that's part of the diet mindset you really need to work on changing... think lifestyle change where you can have what you want - in moderation and there are no splurges because you don't need them... consistent behavior... I can't say that enough... and only consistent behavior will get you results...

I am glad your back ********HUGGGS*****A little splurgey slurge doesn't hurt just hop right back on track not wait around 2 weeks like I did,that equals more weight to have to get rid of,I splurged some tonight to it was hubbys x-mas party.
I see you already lost 4 lbs CONGRATS thats a nice start g/f!!Hope you have a nice weekend,Tammy:party:
 
Thanks Tammy :) i had some oreos this mornin too, but i think its okay b/c they have 140 cals for 2 and i ate 4, so thats 280, but i also just woke up at 12:30, lol. i gotta be at work soon, and i know i wont be able to eat too much there and i dont get off til 11, so i will be alright on cals tonight. mmm...oreos, lol.
