Lose Weight or Die Soon

Sounds like you've been one busy guy! :willy_nilly:

Looks like the weight loss has been a steady progression, that's great! Sometimes when the exercise suffers, it even helps to just take 5 minutes to do some lightweight stretches... just to keep the body happy and the circulation flowing.

I'm right there with you with the insane schedule! Hang in there. The fact that you're keeping your nutrition in check is a huge testament of your desire to improve your health.

FYI, it looks like we will probably get this house! The sellers signed the agreements so now it's just a matter of things passing inspections/tests.

David - since I checked in with you last I think you lost a bit? you're doing awesome. Life will always be there, it's how we handle the ups and downs that counts and it looks like you are doing well with that. Keep it up!

Don't give up, I think the way you work this out is really brave and straight-forward. Best of luck, I'm sure you'll get the silhouette you want.

Hey all! Thanks for the encouraging words!

The week has been crazy being super-Dad and all. Lil Davy was sick last night (stomach trouble I'm hoping it wasn't my cooking- wait it can't be- he refused to eat what I made). Anyway he was up most of the night 12:00 - 3:30 so I cancelled my training and we're both home, laying low. SWMBO returns tonight so I'll have to blitz through the house to make it look like I've been keeping it tidy all week...

I suppose I could avoid these last minute crazy clean-ups before she gets home. I could just be neat and organized all of the the time, put things away as I'm done using them, finding a place for everything and putting everything in its place. This could usher in a new era of control and organization that might generalize into a whole new efficient way of life for me!!!!...

Nah!

Where's the fun in that? :willy_nilly:

Hey all!

Back from my vacation to the Jersey Shore! I had a great time weather was nice (mostly) the house we rented was great, right on the water. I managed to take some nice walks and saw the sunrise each day (kind of my vacation thing...).

I'm not really a sun person (my skin turns red and falls off so I am white again) but I love the beach at dawn and sunset. Swimming and boogyboarding sucked (the hurricane made the water too choppy and there was this enormous invasion of jellyfish (I was the only one that got stung) but the beaches there are nice.

Eating...well, it was better than it could've been. So that's positive. I'll see what the damage is Tuesday AM.

Glad to be home again!

David

Hey--missed this post. Glad you had a fantastic vacation! Currently Margaret and I are trying to recover out pre-vacation weights. She's on her trajectory, and I got back, lost it, got back again, lost it again! Jee whiz....

Hope you're doing well health-wise

Thanks Val! Been down in the dumps (getting an early start on the seasonal affected disorder).

Health is not so good but I'm hopeful that there will be better times to come.

Have fun tonite! I'm going out as a 50 year old fat guy (which is funny because I'm only 48). I've been wearing the costume for 30 years... :)

I'm taking my son who is going as the color orange (his choice). I'm not sure he gets the whole trick or treat thing and he doesn't eat candy so it will be interesting. I used to bring a shotglass around when I took my older boy around when they were little. We knew it was time to stop when I fell over.

Well cheer up and post more, we'll lift your spirits!!! :D Glad you posted :beating:

You are not a fat guy. You are a wonderful man that has some extra energy that needs to be burned off with dedication and some DISCIPLINE :p

Have a great time with your son! And remember, we all want to see you in good health so GET ACCOUNTABLE!!! Visit Alta, she'll help you ;)

Ah, I see Trick or Drinking is still a time honored tradition. :biggrinjester: Even if you don't do it anymore. My mom used to do that.

Good to see you around again.

Hey David, great work so far, you can do this!

The original reason I started losing weight was because of a similar ultimatum from my doctor, I was 300 pounds, 18 years old and my BP was 160/100 and higher at points. He told me he wanted to put me on medication, I asked him for a chance and he told me if it wasn't lower by the next time I'd have to do it.

This was almost three years ago now, after a few months I saw him again and my BP was 130/80 from just using an elliptical. I'm 220 now and see no end in sight! It's totally worth the work

You aare not alone and some tips and tricks can help

I hear you and glad to stand in support of your work and change to health and wellness plan. I used to weight out at 440+ pounds but now at 150, been on every diet known to man most of my life until I found a plan both of how to eat but how to think, change some life style choices, and some sacred rules to live by. Need a buddy, glad to be there for you, can share some tips and be there as a soundling board. I'm new and still trying to figure how to get around and find people to get back to them or how to post my own stuff. confusing. But one of my personal rules, drink a 1 qt of clear water or non caffeen tea before breakfast, and then drink 2 more through the day. I know that eatting suger to me is like a drunk falling off the wagon, it is either all or nothing for me, NO sugar or substitiues of anykind and in less than a week, real foods tast great. water or tea only after 6 pm really helps. Yes takes some planning and maybe you know all these tips. If you want to talk me, just track me down how ever one does that. Blessings to you, you are not alone. Tana Hamiter:waving:
