Lori's Diary

Oh, I'm still in...do you have a backup plan if you still don't get enough people in time? Maybe shorten the amount of players needed...

I have a back up plan, don't worry. But I'd rather start a week late and do 15 weeks, then start tomorrow with less then 15 people. lol.

Oh, I didn't mean to cut it that short...I just didn't know if there was a way to make it a little less than 45 people just in case you don't get that many...

and as you've probably heard in the news, the mortgage industry isn't doing so well.

I'm a Realtor, so I know all about it. ;) Believe me..lol.

I hope you get the job and enjoy getting away from sales. There's no way I could support myself making what I do.

Have a good weekend!

Sooooo, I took my progress pics last night for the last day of February..and I do have to say it helped..A LOT. I was very nervous that I was going to be very disappointed in myself because I slacked off so much in February...but it was just the opposite. Its weird because the scale didn't go down as much -- and I was hoping to be in ONE-derland by the time March got here...but that will just have to be my goal in March.

My birthday is on April 8th (presents are always welcome! :blush5:)..and I would love to lose another 10 lbs before then. Its going to take some hard work...but seeing the progress I made from January til now with little effort gives me a lot of motivation to put in a full effort.

The Amazing Race contest is definitely gonna help with this (thank you Kimberly!)

The contests are what kept me focused in December and January..so I am very happy to have someone that will "hold me accountable" again.

Well, I'm off to exercise!

Have a fabulous day! :waving:

You have done so great. Keep up the awesome work... and its good that the challenge will keep you motivated!

Lori, how are you? The bonus for the first week has already been posted! :hurray: I want to wish good luck to you!!! :grouphug:

I am doing FANTASTIC! I found out on Monday that I GOT THE JOB I was wanting!! :hurray: I am so excited I just don't know what to do with myself. My health benefits start May 1st (and this is quite wonderful because every other company I have interviewed with had a 90 day period before benefits kicked in, and I haven't had health benefits since March 2007! So - I will be going to the doctors..YIPPEE!!)

The salary is exactly what I wanted - which I thought I wasn't going to find - so I am floating on CLOUD NINE! I start Monday March 10th and can't wait!

I'm so pumped for the challenge to start - I've been looking up different cabbage recipes because its not a norm on my grocery list - but I'll post what I find for my teammates as soon as mom2 posts her stat list.

Wow. You can't imagine how happy I am that you started this job! Isn't it amazing that some days things are so negative and then all of a sudden everything goes better. You are now slimmer, beautiful and employed! It is not a magic, it's all your hard work! I realise that now it will become kind of more difficult to exercise because you have to be concentrated in your job but maybe you have to focus only on those 2 things - job and weight loss and have always GOOD sleep and rest. Don't forget to make good impression at your new job. They will watch you under a microscope. Big hugs sweetie! :hug2:

Aw, thank you so much. I'm so excited - I can't wait to start. I have thought about the challenge of exercising - and I was thinking of trying to get up early and exercise before I go in because I think if I got it done with and out of the way - there would be no room to "not feel like it" at the end of the day. Although, my schedule will include two days that are 11am to 8 pm..so I should have no problem doing it in the mornings then.

I have to go away for training in my second week..and I've already checked out the hotel..and they have a gym! So, I'll be able to do something different for my workout routine.

I think this challenge will help keep me focused too...I don't wanna let down my teammates!

Congrats on the new job!! and congrats on the great motivation you have running through your veins!

Did you ever have one of those days where you just wake up PISSED OFF??? :banghead:

Yeah, that's my day today. I just hate the world..and its not even light outside yet. That's terrible! But I'm extremely irritable and PISSED OFF!

My day started off with one of my dogs throwing up (great sound to awaken to instead of birds chirping), the other dog, who is 25 lbs, standing on my stomach, my cat reaching out and scratching my face - both to let me know that they are hungry and need to pee!

So, I get up, step on my dog's sharp-edged bone in the dark - that's fun. Trip over the bone into the coffee table, stub my baby toe..just keeps getting better!

Run to the bathroom because my bladder is going to explode, only to realize I have to run back to the kitchen and get toilet paper because the last person to use it DIDN'T REPLACE THE EMPTY ROLL!

Weighed myself...up FOUR LBS. thanks to the time of the month!

Make coffee before taking the dogs out, turn around and see my dog squatting and peeing on my carpet.

Try signing on the computer...and my internet isn't working! So, have to reboot, restart the modem!

As I'm waiting for the computer to load, my cat knocks my empty coffee cup that is waiting for a fresh, hot cup of coffee right on to the kitchen floor which then SHATTERS into a thousand pieces.

So, I finally sit down at my computer with a nice cup of coffee, take a deep breath, sign on yahoo - knowing that I don't have to go into work with my mom until after 11 am...finally time to relax.

And then my mom messages me and tells me bad weather is coming, so I need to be there early so we can leave early. :toetap05:

I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY hope this day turns out ok. I know attitude is everything..but SHIT! It's a pretty big mountain to climb after a morning like this one!

Wow girl! That was a crazy morning. I can see how that would be upsetting.

Pets are like children sometimes, so demanding, but worth it. I can totally relate with the dogs. Yesterday I woke up with poop on my blankets from a dingleberry on one of the pups. I have stepped on bones too and that really hurts! My favorite is when they bring a nice stinky bully bone, loaded with slober and soopy gooey on the ends and drop it either on my face or right under my chin, while I'm laying on the couch. Then I have to grab the stinky thing off and toss it away, then wash the stink off me.

I hope your day gets better! Be safe in the bad weather.

:waving:

What a nuisance! If it wasn't so demn annoying it would be hilarious! I am sorry hun but I giggled a little! I hope the things got better in the course of the day! In any case you have to have a serious conversation with your mischievous pets!

I am looking forward to mom2 to signing in so we can start reporting our challenge deeds! I hope you are doing fine on this front.

:waving:

hey hope the rest of the day was better for you....not to sound cliched and all but when it rains it does pour!!
hope your day was better then your morning!

x

Well, now that I'm home, and the day is over - it is pretty funny all the shit that happened this morning - like I was on some kind of hidden video reality show!

The day turned out a little better - I worked with my mom til about 7:30 - and today was my last day with her - the new job starts Monday - and I could not be more excited!!

Starting a new chapter in life is always fun, scary, exciting, interesting - all in one. So, I CAN'T WAIT!

I'm actually going to be doing something that I enjoy and can use my personality - no more boring corporate blahh finance shit! Woo hoo!

That was a terrible way to start the day--I don't blame ya a bit for being pissed off..lol. It was pretty funny, looking back on it, though. One of those Murphy's Law type mornings, eh? :D

I'm excited for your new job starting. I hope day 1 was a good one. :grouphug:

Well, the first day went good. I think that I'm going to LOVE my job. The school is basically a huge salon with classrooms! It's awesome! The people that I'm going to be working with are awesome...and its a very positive environment!

And I don't think that there will be too much pressure to eat "bad foods" because my boss just lost 20 lbs and she is watching what she eats as well!

I can't wait to actually get into what I'll be doing..I have to go through 3 weeks of training. Next week should be interesting because I have to travel out of town for that..but this week is just reading the company manual...going through policies..the boring stuff.

And when I got home last night, I took my dogs for an hour long walk - which was tough..but they enjoyed it! It's the least I could do for them after they were in their cages all day..and we all got our exercise!!
