Loosing too much weight in 1 month?

HEllo,

I'm worried about my weight lost... I've lost around 25 lbs in around 1 month... and I keep loosing weight..
Am I going too fast? Is this normal? my stats are 22yrs old male, 5"10, 225lbs now 200lbs.
I don't feel tired throughout the days, nor do I starve myself; I feel more energized instead...

I just started doing Atkins diet (limiting my daily carbs intake, still on Induction phase),

and my exercise is pretty much a combination of cardio M T(HIIT) W F and weight training MWF, swimming on sundays, Sats and Thus off

Diet is pretty much anything high in protein and low in carbs, I will incorporate more carbs after I've passed the Induction phase (approx 2 weeks), No chips, No junk foods.

Drink : No more sodas, just water.

example:
whey protein + water, turkey wrapped with wheat roll.
chicken breast (a lil skin) + 1 cup broccoli + fish oil + multivitamin tab.
turkey jerkey.
2 turkey wrap + 3 strawberries.
salmon + 1 cup asparagus + fish oil.

thanks.

2 lbs/week, I would thought so as well, but in my case I don't feel tired nor sick...

Well, you could say that this is the first month I've been living a healthy lifestyle (It was 1 year ago or so when I exercise regularly..)

My lifestyle before is totally crappy, zero exercise, I don't watch/care of what I ate (junk food, chips, sodas, no veggies..)

I don't mean to jack the thread...

I lost about 15lbs in a month, but I'm a pretty big guy. I'm 6'2", currently 265lbs (44" waist) and age 25. I started doing cardio about 5 days a week and lifting about 3 days a week. I take a multivitamin daily...sometimes I forget. I'm also eating a lot healthier...or at least I think I am.

He lost about 11% body weight at 225lbs, I've only lost about 5% at 279lbs - is that the way it should be viewed? How much weight loss is too much for a fat guy?

Well if you lived a fairly easy life style until 1 months ago, you can experience a very large weight drop when you first begin to exercise.

Remember though, you're not going to experience this forever. I kind of like this phrase... "Everything works, but nothing lasts forever."

Congrats, and try to mix it up when you're in for a few months.

I've lost 7 pounds in a week before. it was almost all water weight too. dramatic changes in diet and fitness lifestyle can cause rapid weight fluctuations, which end up evening out after a week or two.

2lbs a week is all you should really strive for. Remember, you didn't gain all that weight overnight...you won't lose it that way either, and honestly its a little harder to shed fat than gain it ;) (well, for most of us that's true)
