Loosing the flap

Hi,
I'm 30 years old. I'm 6.3" and weight 195 pounds.
I have recently started working out, about 6 month now. I ‘m doing light weight lifting 5-4 days a week. I also do a lot of cardio almost every day, Basketball and martial art.
When I started this program 6 months ago I was at 225 pounds. I quit drinking and smoking and kept a healthy diet.
My body is in great shape now however no matter how much I run I can't seem to get rid of the little flap left on my lower waist. My fear is that I will never be able to get rid of this fat and the extra skin around it. Can you tell me I'm wrong please?
Some it feels as if the skin is just too saggy down there. What should I do?
If I’m looking in the mirror the fat is hardly visible but if I stretch my lower waist skin out it will stretch out about an inch.
Please help.

Billy, What is your diet like? This is crucial when it comes to fat loss - especially around the mid-section; which sometimes takes longer than other areas around the body.

My Diet

Gil, thanks for your response.
I keep a very good diet, I think?!
Oatmeal and water or skim milk in the morning
Every morning. I toss in some raisins and some crushed unsalted almonds. Lunch is normally Salad and grilled chicken Breast, olive oil and lemon for dressing. I also get me another salad before work out but little on the oil this time. Dinner around 10 pm that’s when I get back from the GYM
Dinner is normally Salmon or grilled chicken with salad, again olive oil and lemon for dressing. I Drink about 128 fl oz of water a day, I take a protein shake after work out and a Cell Teach mix before work out, I also munch on apples through out the day, coffee is in too, at work I drink two to three cups a day just black. And that’s it. I hit the GYM every day Mon –Fri for weight lifting and Sat-Sun I play Basket ball 4- 5 hours.
Like I motioned before I’m keeping this diet and have no problem adhering to it.
I have started last week taking martial arts class 3 days a week hoping to lose fat even more.

Hello All,

Hi Billy I am new here not that I am no expect or anything, your diet sounds good to me, I wish I could stick to a diet like that. One thing I have tried to to not eat after 7 or 8 pm at night. Especially if you are going to lay down right after eating. If you must have some after that time nibble on fruit only no other snacks like chips or cake.

Have you tried sit up I'm sure you probably have but what about increasing the number you do to help tighten those muscles. good luck

Michelle
