Hi my name is John. I'm new around these parts and wanted to share my story which ofcourse isint over.
So a little about me. Well I will be 25 june 4th. I enderwent GBS surgery 7-25-06. Its something I thought I needed since I wanted to loose alot of weight quickly and I thought exercise wouldn't be enough. I was 445lbs and it was gross. Although finding out later the surgery in many ways is bs anyways. Its not perminant and it certainly won't loose the weight for you. I knew this and I knew the surgery alone wasn't going to fix it. I had to change my eating patterns and workout like crazy.
I'm happy to say i've been training hard 5-6 days a week for 9 1/2 months now and eating 6 meals a day slowing increasing my calories as needed. Soon I will be eating over 3,000 a day and that prolly still won't be enough. I've lost 216lbs so far just in this time and have gone from a heavy asthmatic who couldn't walk down the stairs to running 10 miles a day.
I really enjoy my training and fitness lifestyle now. Mountain biking, rock climbing, swimming, and running are all a part of me now. Still weighing in at 229lbs I've still got some work to do. But, my last body analysis showed 17%BF with a nearly 200lb LBM. So im pretty close. Prolly within 25ish lbs of my ultimate goal. Which is 10%BF holding clean above 200lbs(I've been spending alot of time building muscle mass so I can get cut).
I've been through so much and what i've learned is that you can do anything you want too. You just have to ask yourself what you are willing to sacrifice. I was tired of being a fat guy who was outta shape. If you truely put you're heart and soul into something you can make magic happen. Some pics of my journey thus far.
