pounds lost now. This also happens to be day 200 of this grand experiment.

My mood issues did produce one tangible benefit in that one thing I do to deal with them is math (it's hard to think about issues when your brain is occupied with equations). That means work mostly, but it also means I did some work on my weight loss model and I now really like it. It's also now setup to accept anyone's input regardless of height, age, weight or gender. I think it still is only applicable to humans unfortunately. So if there's any interest here, I can post the Excel file if you like.

The diet soda restriction is going fairly well, though I'm not drinking enough liquids to replace them. Still working on that. No personal training today, so I'm not sure what my workout will be. My apartment's getting a little disheveled, so I think that needs a cleaning today. Now that the freezing temps look like they're gone, I think my car needs to hit the car wash today. Can't have the ladies see me cruisin' in a dirty car.

Mood seems pretty good, so I'm happy my nonsense seems to be ebbing. I think there's a good chance that because I'm doing well with my weight and in other areas of my life, that the effects of this don't last as long as they might have before. I guess mark that down as reason #1,763 as to why I needed to lose weight.

80lbs!!!!! How awesome is that?!?.... Pretty damn awesome! Congrats, MrVee! :D

:hurray::cheers2::willy_nilly::party::party::hurray:CONGRATS ON 80 LBS LOST MrVee!!! That is awesome!!! My husband also washed our car today. What sort of math were you doing? I love math :D

Weight loss model. Enter in your ht, wt, age, gender, activity level and number of calories you are going to consume and it predicts your weight loss. I've been making one as a way to smooth out the day to day weight variations and give me an idea of how the trend is going. It's sort of based on this:

but only a little. I wanted something I could have in Excel so I could make tweaks and adjustments as I see fit.

Wow!! 80 pounds down!!! That's insane!! Party time!
As a matter of fact, yes it is. Heading out after personal training for lunch with my sister, where I will have my first Monte Cristo sandwich in a dozen years (this is my belated 299 celebration). It's gonna taste good too.

A lightish breakfast and dinner and I'll even fit it into my calories.

Awesomeness!

Speaking of math, that's 2.4 pounds a week! Enjoy eating Monte!

I would certainly be interested in your spreadsheet. With your permission I would also like to adapt it for stoats and narwhals.

294 on a Friday morning. Friday? This week went fast.

Personal training, lunch with the sister and then work. Weather is nice so I think I'll try out the hiking shoes tomorrow, maybe on a new mountain (well the mountain is pretty old, but it will be new to me).

Wow! You are doing really welll!! & catching up with me lol!!!
Your 100 lbs loss mile stone is closer than you might think!!!

Indeed the week went fast! Great job the steady weight loss!!!

I have a feeling a lot of us on this site are from out of the US....you're in Arizona, right? We're basically neighbors!

BTW, did you ever eat that sammie? what was it called? a monte carlo? cristo?

A monte cristo, yes I had it today. And it wasn't very good, but then I didn't get to have it at the place I wanted to.

Wow!! 294!!! Are you sure you aren't amputating some limbs with how fast that weight's coming off?! Haha. That's so awesome!

Om my god you're right! What have I done? I'm gonna need that left hand at some point.

293.5 this morning (so long right big toe!)

Okay, done with hiking. Tried a new trail head today. Was really easy until it suddenly wasn't anymore. Unlike the one I've been using which had lots of winding turns and plateaus which allowed some relief from the climbs, this sucker was straight up the damned mountain.

There's a basic physics problem in that no matter how good of cardiovascular shape I'm in, it's a lot harder lugging 293.5 pounds up the mountain than 193.5 pounds. Gravity is just not your friend at this weight. And so ultimately there's limits to how far I can go upward before I need a break (when my heart rate gets into the 160s). This particular trail may not be the best for me until I drop another 40 pounds or so. Good workout though.

Spent 83 minutes, 32 seconds on the mountain with an average heart rate of 132. According to that means I burned 1258 calories during this time. I'd have burned about 157 doing nothing but watching the Flintstones, so that leaves a net calories of 1101 calories burned. Not too shabby.
