Looking to lose an extra human I apparently picked up along the way

I kind of figured you'd need a calorie adjustment as you got so close. I also figured you'd have it planned out.

Awesome on the new lows!

168 this morning 15.7% on the monitor. Will be nice if I can hit a sub 168 reading the next few days.

My "natural waist" measurement (which at my size should now definitely be the narrowest part of my torso) is approaching sub 30-inch territory at 30.5. This lines up pretty well with the bodyfat estimation formula I've posted before which involves height, weight, and waist measurement. A little rudimentary algebra and you can predict waist measurement from height, weight and body fat%. Anyway a height of 71 inches, a weight of 168.4 (my 30 day linear weight prediction) and body fat of 15.8% (my linear body fat prediction), gives a predicted waist measurement of 30.3. So it all lines up.

I think my next video might be on body shapes and the challenges that can come with having one that's atypical (a problem women have always had to deal with, but applies to many men as well). For example, Q's natural body shape (from what I can tell and his explanations) seems to be more typical for a man than mine, which can lead to odd fits for me when it comes to pants. There's a plus to this though, which I'd go through in the video if I do it.

Hi Mr Vee

I am new to the forum, and I have gone through a lot of your weight loss diary and I am amazed at what you have achieved! It's fantastic and a real inspiration. One thing that really strikes me is how hard you are on yourself- this is something that I really identify with, and from one self-depreciator to another, I think you seem pretty great :)

Thanks LL! It's actually a habit I would like to break myself of. I have my weaknesses like everyone else, but I guess I need to be a little bit prouder of the various things I've achieved.

But in many ways knowing what I'm capable of leads me to be harder on myself than maybe I should be. As great as I've done, I _know_ I can get in better shape than this and that truly is something I want to pursue. I guess the key is to try and appreciate whatever achievements I've managed while at the same time motivating myself to go for more.

And if my presence here has helped anyone else lose weight and get closer to their goals, well that would be something I'm extremely proud of.

Thanks again.

LJ,

Given your history it would eventually just say 'WW' regardless. (Don't worry I'll get this out of my system eventually).

Anyhow, 167.5 this morning. Woo hoo! New low. 15.8% on the BF% monitor. The 30 day trend has me at 168.2. 7.2 weeks from today (a pound a week) is July 3.

Cooking corned beef in the slow cooker and now off for my cardio workout. I think it's a simple incline treadmill day today.

My eatin' hand has no injuries. Which might have contributed to the problems of the last several weeks...

Congrats on the new low!

168 this morning. The body fat monitor had me at 15.1% and that's definitely a low on that one. Wish I had more confidence in it.

Was absolutely wiped out all day yesterday (I think because of the cardio) and was DOMSing from Wednesday's workout this morning. So today's lifting session (today was 'push' day, Wednesday was 'pull' day) was quite a challenge.

There's no doubt the calorie reduction is playing a little part in this, but the weights are getting lifted and the fat is coming off. It's just how "cuts" work and why they need to be temporary. I will say I'm starting to look forward to that 2600+ calorie diet: "Pancakes my friend, it's been a long time. Too long."

Picking up my suit today from the alterations. Dropping off my dress belt today at the leather shop to be shortened. Again. Trip out of town in 18 days.

Whether it happens at 310 pounds or now, weigh ins like today still happen from time to time: 166.5, that's all sorts of a new low. Also 14.7% on the body fat monitor, also a new low and the first reading below 15% ever. 30 day trend weight is 167.6, and the slope of that trend is now back at 1 pound a week where I want it to be. I'm calling it 6.6 pounds to go.

Two of my friends are having a co-birthday party today, and we're re-doing Mother's Day tomorrow now that no one is sick anymore, Full schedule this weekend.

Off to cardio. Sprint intervals I think.

Weekend parties obviously were hard to keep under calories so I'm back up to 169 with a 15.3% BF on the monitor this morning.

Getting a haircut in a couple of hours ahead of my business trip.

Okay decided to take a pic of my new haircut and new shirt. I always wanted one of these shirts but figured I didn't have the physique for it. Still might not have the physique for it, but bought one anyway:

These shirts are what almost everyone wears here & you so have the physique for it, silly! Haircut looks good Vee & you are looking super fit!

Looking badass Vee! I can't believe you are still keeping it at a pound a week! Your work ethic is amazing! I really have to start working in some strength training. Your arms are thicker and you're thinner. I don't think that is supposed to happen. Nobody mentioned that to you apparently. Have a good trip!

169 again this morning. 15.2% on the BF monitor. Hopefully I can get this trending back down in the next day or two.
