Looking to gain weight

Hey everybody, if you were thinking "I bet he's an ectomorph" you'd be right.

I've done some research the last few days, checking out all the cool links and stickies. So the basic story is I'm into martial arts and I'm hoping to compete soon, perhaps in a year. Before that though, I want to be at my best. I know the techniques, but I get thrown around far to easily. So I'm going to do some bulking up, but I'm having trouble forming a good workout plan.

I'm going to do full body workout 3x a week (once my hand is back to normal in about three weeks, it just had a little surgery. Don't worry, I'm making a full recovery and I'm using my spare time to formulate my workout\eating plans.)

The trouble I'm having is I don't know the movement behind the names that are being thrown at me, for instance I don't know what a "supinated grip" is, it could be made up for all I know (link to where I found this word: TESTOSTERONE NATION)

Basically I need to help with how to de-cypher the lingo and a little help setting up a good workout\eating plan. I know I'm supposed to be eating ~2800 calories a day but I need to know more than that.

On a side-note I found a cool calorie calc, but lost the link when I reformatted my hard-drive. It told me how much I should be eating in calories, carbs, and protein if I were trying to gain muscle. If anyone has a link to a similar program I'd be greatfull.

EDIT:

I so nearly forgot to put my stats

Sex: Male
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 135
Age: 18
diet: What ever is in the fridge.

my goals is to reach 150 and eventually 170. How long is it likely to take me if I do everything correctly?

A good tip when you don't know what something is, just google it and you will get the idea. If you wonder what for example "deadlifts" are, just google "deadlifts exercise" and you will get the idea. Don't ever look at their technique when you google though, just look at pics/vids to get the idea of what it is.

supinated grip is your palms facing you, sorta..

that's a pic of a supinated grip, found it with google ;)

Other than that, eat alot of food :p step on the scale every week or so and see if you are gaining, if not, then you need more calories. shoot for gaining something like 0.5-1 lbs a week if you want most of it to be muscle..

Huh, it's amazing what you can just google these days. Should I literally be counting my calories with paper & pen? Still not certain what sort of workout plan I should do.
