Look! Im dancing!!!

Hey! Great job with the walking!! Right now I walk twice a day (10-20 min each) with our dog. In the cold she can't go much farther, but when it warms up I plan to increase to 45 minute walks in the evenings (tire her out before bed haha). Walking is awsome, it's a great stress reliever - especially if you have someone to walk with.
Too bad you didn't get to enjoy your treat as much as you thought you would - those are the WORST crashes becuase they aren't even delicious! lol. Oh well ;)
Keep up the good work and focus!

Hey there, nice to see you again.
Yeah, it was a bummer about the treat, but it is a good thing that im not fooling myself into thinking that my blizzard is not that high in calories...lol.. Part of me wanted to know and the other part definetly didn't. Im not saying I wont ever have a treat like that again, Ill just make sure its a small and its done very infrequently.
You are right, walking is an awesome stress reliever, Im sure you will enjoy those longer walks with your dog when wheather permits.
I am trying to stay focused...not always easy...lol (as im sure you know)
Take care
Michelle :)

Hey it's all good. I slipped up some this weekend. But today I bounced back and will continue to stay focused. As long as you don't lose focus for good you are on the right track. Keep it up!

I agree jpass, being able to get yourself back on track is so important. I'm glad to hear you bounced back too.
Michelle :)

Last night i worked a graveyard shift. This is not my usual shift, but they were short staffed at work. The shift was busy and I was hungry all night, though i did manage to keep myself fairly in control. When i came home, i was going to try to stay up so that i could have a good sleep tonight. Well, as soon as my head hit the pillow, I was gone, gone, gone, until 3pm.
When i got up, i had a salad with beans and lentils on top.
Met cerella for a coffee (Caramel machiato (260 cals)
Dinner i made Baked polenta with veggies, tomato sauce, ground buffalo, and low fat cheese.
(kind of layered like a lasagna) It was pretty tasty
Diet coke
water

Tomorrow will be a more focused day.
Michelle :)

I can't say I've ever had ground buffalo before - or ever really heard of it! lol, but it sounds like you enjoyed your meal :) Graveyard shifts always lead to wonky eating, unless it's your regular shift and you can create a pattern. Oh well :) You still did pretty darn good!

I love buffalo! Where do you find ground buffalo readily available?

I love buffalo too, I actually bought it at our local IGA, I'm pretty sure you can get it at most butchers as well. Buffalo is something that more and more are trying out here, so its a good thing.
You had asked me in a previous post, what my favorite slow cooker recipe was. I am still experimenting with it, but so far i would say I love hearty root veggie soup. So easy in the slow cooker, and i add a bit of masala (mixed spice with cumin, coriander, all spice, fennel, turmeric, onion seed and pepper) Very warming and comforting.
:D

Hi Nicole,
Ground buffalo is similar to beef but it is low in cholesterol and fat and is therefore a much healthier choice. It is a bit different in taste, but if i put it in a tomato sauce you wouldn't even know it wasn't beef.
You going to try it? lol
Michelle :) Let me know if you do ;)

Last night i had a really hard time sleeping, i think i only got 2 hrs in total. Today when i got to work i had a bowl of oatmeal with apples and cinnamon. water
11 am - Caramel Machiato from Starbucks (grande)

1:00pm - chicken grill with no sauce, water

3:30pm - eclair (sighhhhhs)

5:00pm - apple & 1 oz of cheese (low fat)

7:00pm - tea with milk and splenda

9:00pm - Salad with tuna, capers, pear, yellow peppers, green onion, celery and pumpkin seeds. ( OK it sounds weird and possibly icky, but it was really tasty)

mint tea

Holy crap its been such a long time since i posted in here. I have been struggling with my eating quite a bit. Im working out with my trainer 3 days a week still. I am seeing some results, but she has asked me not to weigh myself yet, so im trying to stick to that request. I know that if i could just get my eating under control, i will really see results. I am going to get more regimented about recording EVERYTHING that i eat and drink, or i will continue to conveniently 'Forget" how much I eat in a day. I will try to get my butt in here more so i can record for myself how im feeling and what I am doing.

Great job sticking with personal training! My PT said the same thing about weighing myself because he didn't want me to get discouraged at little to no movement on the scale. He feels that inches/measurements are more important because muscle weighs more than fat but takes up less room. It also burns 50 more calories a day per lb than fat does.

What does your PT have you doing now?

It changes every time i see her. This last time we did a lot cardio on the treadmill and bike (constantly changing resistance and speed. We are doing different forms of resistance exercises, increasing the reps along the way.
I can honestly say its never boring..lol

WOW, it has been so long since I have posted anything in my diary. I left everything for a while. I am presently going to weight watchers. It was a slowwww start because it really took nothing for me to sabotage myself. I tired of feeling out of control of my eating habits. I know it will always be a battle for me, but the key is to keep fighting. I was thinking that coming here to keep a diary would probably help with my goals.
I am feeling good about coming back here... mainly because of all of the great people that are also here.
Michelle
