Look! Im dancing!!!

So today i was thinking about going to the gym and working out on at least the bike, but it didnt happen. I'm still a bit under the weather, and did a lot this weekend considering. I ate ok today...could have been a bit better.

First meal : apple and chicken
Water, mint tea

Second meal: Salad with dressing on the side with salmon fillet. Coffee with 2 cream and 2 sweetner, 2 lrg glasses of ice water with lemon

before dinner: 2 oz chocolate

Dinner: veggie hotdog with low fat cheese on a whole wheat bun

Well I just had a toss and turn restless night. That sucks because i really struggle to stay on track when i feel exhausted. Im not using that as an excuse though, just means i have to work harder today. I just got up and took some cough syrup (not counting that with my daily totals...:p ) and I'm having a cup of decaf tea with honey and milk. Today is my first day back to my job after being off sick for the week and all weekend. I'm not quite up to snuff but i have to get back to work. I wasn't going to get up for another hour yet, but ohhhhhhhhh well...I can at least have some quiet time and actually have a relaxed morning drinking my tea and having breakfast.
I need to get some sleep tonight though, cuz tomorrow morning is my full workout with Shelly at 5:45 am... *ick* It will be good though, just really freakin early...lol

 
I'm back at work today too and I still feel a little under the weather. I'm also seeing a weird increase in my appetite and I can't figure out whether I didn't have a big enough breakfast or if my body just needs more energy because I'm out and about.

Today is my first full workout with Shelly at 6am. So..im getting my stuff together for the fun that is about to happen. Did i mention it snowed last night???...lol ohhhhhhh well. Michelle :D
 
have a good workout... I am up at 5 every morning - but i can't do more than shower, get dressed and pour coffee - very impressive that you can go workout...

Thanks, it was a really good workout. Trust me, i didn't think i could do more than sleep at 5 am...lol. This really was a test of my local broadcasting system...beeeeep! Once i got to the gym, (in the snow) it was all good...The exciting thing for me is, that this is the first time i have actually FELT what i am supposed to feel after a workout. It makes a world of difference for me to be truly shown what the heck to do. I left the gym feeling pretty good about everything..and then later on at work felt muscles that...i didnt know were there...lol Michelle :D
 
Ok, it is almost 1am, and i am doing the graveyard shift at work tonight. I thought i would just pop into wlf before i get to work. Tomorrow i get off in time to meet with my trainer at 9am, then im going to bed and crashing!!!!! I am looking forward to working out... *am I crazy?...lol*
 
4 am and im almost half way through my shift, Ive almost got all of the cleaning done...(good exercise, that is for sure) so much for taking it easy this shift..lol. I dont mind helping out at work and doing a graveyard shift once in a while, but i definately wouldn't want to do it all of the time. It would ruin my health. My hats off to those that do it all of the time..Oh well, i at least burned off that cookie that i just snacked on *slapping hand*

Ha Ha HA well when you have mean staff like me that refuse to come in I guess tha tis what happens...ha ha ha - I was too exhausted I coudlnt pull another dbl shift sorry:(

I've had to work a graveyard shift for 2 weeks in a row once. Not fun at all. Cleaning is a good way to burn some calories. My apartment could use a cleaning before my roomates arrive, so I can always get to it!

Keep up the greatness.
 
Cleaning is a great workout! I think I'm going to go home and do a huge workout tonight by cleaning the place top to bottom. Lol.

Graveyard shift can be rough! lol, but keeping busy with cleaning etc makes time go by faster :) You've got a great goal, I find makign small - on the way- goals helps a lot :) (like drinking 6-8 glasses of water daily etc)

Thanks Nicole, I used to make big goals, but crashed a lot. I feel much better doing small attainable ones. Im finally seeing success, Thanks for stopping in and saying hi

I've just come home from my work out with Shelly. It was tough, but great. She really is a wonderful person, i look forward to seeing her..(and yet i fear it as well..lol)
I had a fun fun weekend. Probably ate a few things i should not have, but i didnt go all crazy or anything.
Last night i made a big pot of chicken veggie soup in my slow cooker from scratch. Im trying to stay away from prepared store bought soup stocks to use as a base for my soup. It turned out really nice and its just loaded with vegetables.
I will be having that for lunch today.
For breakfast i had puffed kamut with raw pumpkin seeds and unsweetened soy milk. Sounds weird but tastes good.

I love my slow cooker for healthy soup recipes too! I try to just throw in some stock, rough chop some high fiber veggies, usually throw in a can or so of beans and then some inexpensive cuts of meat (after browning), herbs, bay leaves and sometimes some dry white or red wine and call it a day.

What's your favorite recipe?
 
ahhhhhhhhhhhh, what a stressful start to my week. My dad ended up in emergency 2X with leg pain, and they don't know why. Then, my friend Jarrod passed away today at the age of 37 of liver failure. You know what hits me.... My dad suffers from a form of dementia that was caused from his years of excessive drinking. (could have been prevented) Jarrod (bless his soul) was a heavy party boy, I used to party right along with him. When i was diagnosed with diabetes, I stopped the party to work on my health, and he kept it up. They both suffered great losses (my dad his mind, my friend, his life) because they ignored the signs of danger. I have realized that for years I have ignored my own signs of danger. Maybe not entirely, but enough to have possibly suffered unrepairable damage. I am the WORST for starting a diet or "lifestyle change" and then becoming my own worst enemy by giving up.
Jarrod lost his life, because he lost his way in it. I feel that i have found my path, and I really need to look to my friends and family (and strangers) to keep myself on that path when i feel like giving up.
Sighhhhhh, I do babble when i have a lot on my mind.

I had a pretty good day today, I ate a couple things that probably were not the best choices. Im working hard at making sure im drinking enough water, though i did fall a bit short today. Tomorrow im going to make sure to record all the water im drinking so that its not guess work.
I have a workout with shelly at 9am at the gym, and then im going to go spend some time with my dad.

Ok, time to get back on track. Im afraid that i have been doing a bit of "stress eating" That has got to stop now! I had a cookie dough blizzard during the week (medium) I looked up the nutritional value and it was 1030 calories. The thing is...I didn't even like it all that much. It certainly wasn't worth the amount of calories involved...lol. I know that it was a treat, but im thinking that i have to make sure if im going to have a treat, at least make it something that im going to enjoy. There is a better chance that it would be a fraction of the calories. Oh well...nothing can be done about something that has already been digested. :)
On a great note!... Thursday and Friday I worked out with my trainer Shelly. Then on Saturday i got up at 8 am, and went for a walk with my friend Kim. It was snowing and freaking cold...but our goal was to reach the same destination as our last walk, but in less time. We beat our old time by 10minutes, so we continued to walk and added and extra 15 minutes onto our 1 hour walk.
In total, we walked 5 km. I was very proud of both of us.
