Hi my names Lonnie and I am 37 years old. I have type II diabetes, I'm bipolar, have an oversize thyroid , suffer from PTSD and Agoura phobia. I weigh 314lbs as of this morning and really need to figure out how I'm going to get into shape. I've been fat for years and quite honestly even though I actually was a physical trainer before I can't find anything that seems to work for me. I've been wanting as my only form of exercise since I got out of the hospital for pancreatitis and I've been averaging 16.000 steps per day according to my fitbit. I have been eating healthier lots of greens, fruits and vegetables in my calorie count has been somewhere in the neighborhood of 1800 to 2100 per day. My blood sugar still is running high averaging some around 200 when I wake up in the morning and my A1c was 12.5 at my last test. I'm thinking about joining planet fitness sense is the closest Jim to me that's open 24 hours a day. I just need to be held accountable and have something to keep me motivated so I'm writing this today. Hopefully, I will get it together before the holidays because I want to be healthy and if possible lose some weight.

Welcome to the forums!! Glad you found us because this is a great place to get support and motivation. *Cracks whip*

Hi Lonnie & welcome to the WLF forum. You have found a place of support. Personally I love this place & it is where I discuss problems, joys, worries etc. I am responsible for my own health & well-being, as we all are, but with the support of others, it is good to feel that you are part of a team & are not alone. I cannot lose weight on 1800-2000 cals a day. That would be maintenance for me. I use My Fitness Pal to track calories, but there are many sites & apps to use. Making small changes makes a big difference. Choosing healthier options, , moving more(even just standing, rather than sitting), drinking more water, getting a good night's sleep, all make a difference.
You can talk about almost anything here. This is your diary. I wish you all the best & will be here to support you along the way, cheers, Cate.

I joined Planet Fitness to see if that will help me. My blood sugar has been going up for some reason so I'm getting pretty discouraged even though I'm down to 306.2

Can you post a few days of your eating? Do you log your food? Carbs and sugar are always the culprit with blood sugars being high, if you post what you eat a few of us on here can give you some advice to get it under control.
