hey guys this is only my second post on here...but since that post ive joined the gym, had my orientaion today and tomorrow morning is my first day to my journey of losing weight! this is honestly my third attempt with a gym but i WILL NOT let myself fail this time! i look at all of you ppl and i get so jealous lol!! i just gotta keep telling myself i can stay the way that i am (roughly 230lbs size 22/2xl)..or keep it up and within a year be the way i want! (about 100lbs less)..and i know with the support of all my new buddies out there, i wont fail ;) well here are some of my "before pics" (well now pics lol)

its been very hard since ive been over weight my entire life--and basically always being compared to the beautiful perfect body older sister who didnt have to work a day in her life for her abs or anything ;\ pshhhh!


anywho yup yup my goals are this so far::

SW (2/07)- 230
(7/07)-180

50lbs--5 months--i think its do-able!!! its only 10lbs a month!! I CAN DO IT!!!

Btw I'm jealous of Christmas in New York ! I've always wanted to go there during that time hehe

thanks for the welcome guys :) lol i live only about 15 minutes outside of nyc so its nothing new to me--but im telling you nyc at xmas time is friggin awesome! if you ever decide to go and need a tour guide im ur girl lol!!! so i went to the gym today--and ugggghh my body hurts!!! i didnt stay incredibly long i did half hour on treadmill (about 1.5 miles) 15 minutes on the bike cuz some girl stole my elliptical lol...then the elliptical for about another 15 minutes .. i would've went back on the treadmill but i had to leave for work but hey i figure its all better than NOTHING.
 
man your friend is nice!! :eek: and you have beautiful facial features your pretty now but I think your going to be a stunner when your at your target weight. Best of luck!!!
 
YOu look absolutely gorgeous now! I know you will look and feel great at your target goal!

You should go to the club challenge section and join the challenge that starts Friday and runs through to April 15. THis will help with motivation, and if you haven't started a Diary, you should do this. :)

well, my dear, welcome! ...i was thinking, i've got roughly the same amount of weight to lose as you...and i'd like to lose it before september. friendly challenge? it would definitely help keep me going! either way, good luck, and you can do it, we want to see happy beaming AFTER pics :D
 
Welcome welcome! I'm 230 lbs too (well, 231!)! Thanks for posting your photos. I hope we can provide each other some inspiration to keep us motivated! I KNOW you can reach your goal- it's about what mine is. I did lose 50 lbs in 5 months 2 years ago, so it's definitely possible. Glad you're here!

10lbs a month is easy when you have alot of weight. It only gets harder as you get closer to your ideal weight. I went from 264 to 225 in a little over 4 months two summers ago. Gone from 225 to 215 in that remaining time. Never changed my diet, except cutting out soda. Everything else has been the same basically, ive added in more excerise. Fun excerise though, I work at UPS loading boxes into trucks and I play ice and roller hockey.

Its definitally doable, im just starting to get over the hump and get this final 30-35 off. Im gonna attempt to shed it by July/August, we shall see. Good luck.
