Hey everyone i am 21 and ready to do something about my weight... My fiance just recently order the INSANITY workout program by Shawn T for me and i plan on putting it to good use.. I am going to be uploading my Before pictures now even though i do not have any Afters yet. Why? So i have the motivation to continue on my journey... Who wants embarrassing photos of themselves on the net... I apologize ahead of time if you are blinded in anyway consider this your disclaimer! Lol But here goes!

Sorry for the weak post i had a really detailed one written but then i accidentally closed the window! so i got a little frustrated and threw up a quick post. well here is a little bit of info i had previously. I am currently 307lbs, I am trying to lose weight to be a Us Marine.. I owe it to myself, my Fiance, and the Corps to be Fit and ready to go for anything. I have been trolling this forum for over a year now and finally have the courage to post my Befores and hopefully soon my afters. I really admire this site for all the positive attitudes and support everyone brings I hope to be apart of the MANY success stories..

Oh and yea i got to this weight after i quit playing sports my 11th grade year and turned to junk food and Internet gaming ( World of warcraft, Counter-strike, Starcraft, Dota, Etc...) so yea time for a change!

Thanks for reading and hope to post some Afters to make up for the horrendous Befores (currents i guess for the time being) you have to look at...

Good for you and good luck! I'm in a similar boat; I also think that having "before" pictures of one's self floating around here is a great motivator!

Best wishes,

Ed

good luck! you can do it!! its hard to get moving sometimes but once you do and you see those results and FEEL the changes..you will be more motivated

Well I did it! :hurray: Today i woke up at 9:45 Am and did my first Fitness Test for the Shawn T INSANITY program and let me tell you IT WAS HARD!!! I mean seriously hard i had to push myself just to get threw the WARM-UP which by itself is a workout! ( not over exaggerating either) But i am so proud of myself and I can't wait til i have to get up again in the morning for another great workout.... If i can make it threw the whole first month with a strict diet and doing this workout plan everyday without missing i am sure ill have HUGE results by the end of the month! Well will keep updating daily as i progress through a tough fitness plan... :cheers2:

Hey, good luck to you. I did a round of Insanity and it was indeed hard. However, don't let it beat you. I did only what I could stand for the first week or so, especially since I saw that the people on the video was taking extra breaks and could'nt do it straight through. That was encouraging for me becuase I read that the people on the video had done insanity a couple times before they actually did the live taping. By the beginning of week three I was able to keep up pretty well, but I still took my breaks when needed. Besides Shaun T is constantly telling you to take a break if you need to to controll your heart rate. I lost 18lbs doing insanity the first time and I did not really follow the nutrition plan strictly. I have just started it over on 01/03/11 and I plan to change my eating habits by cutting out all fast food, pop, and junk food, like chips, cookies, ice cream, and cakes. So far so good for one day. Keep it up, you can do it!

Hello Llamabutt12! How are you? You havent updated anything recently? Well, I just wanted to wish you all the best and luck on your journey.. Here's many people sitting in the same boat with you! Including myself! :)

And you got my attention when you said you wanted to be a US marine.. I have a similar dream. Ive always wanted to go to do my military service (eventhough I am a woman). Well, I was going to apply to the service now but I really cant because of my overweight. Even Ive always been athletic and done sports, but I have to do a much more workout and get this overweight off!

Well, I hope you will start updating how have you been! :)

When I played wow and was working out I used to make myself run a mile before each raid/dungeon I did...in Wotlk I did a lot of dungeons and got pretty slim, then I quit playing wow and got fat again, lol go figure..anyways man, glad you're here, good luck!

I'm scared to do Insanity b/c it specifically says the program is not for obese people. Gratz on finishing it daddybug.

Eerika, I'm with you on that too. I want to get into the Navy Reserves but I need to lose like more pounds 80 lbs - I'm only 5'5 :( I'm trying to make that my goal for this year so I can sign up before I hit the big 3-0. Hopefully that will come true for us.

I lost 30 lbs after I quit WoW LOL. Well, I wouldnt say that was the main reason but it was part of the problem. I wanted to go home and play WoW and PokerStars instead of exercising.

Llamabutt, I see your last log in was 10/21. If by chance you're still watching, I hope you're doing ok.

I must sound stupid now, but I dont know what is WoW?! :D Soo I was just wondering what you were talking about there.. Is some kind of game? Huh?

Navy Reserves, nice.. :) Must be very interesting. How much is 5'5 in cm? im 1,75cm.. Do you have some age limit in US when you can sign up for military service? In Finland the age is 28 for women, so I have some time.. And Ive been planning to finish my nurse studies first, then sign up for army if my motivation is the same.. I would also be interested about peacemaking. But it really insists a good physical condition.. Aaanyway, I really wish you will achieve that dream there! At least you dont have a boyfriend who would be against it, like I do! lol :D

WoW is World of Warcraft, an online Multiplayer RolePlayGame. Quite popular. 12.2 million players I think....*lol*

5"5 is about 1.65 m. 1.75m is about 5"8. :)

Haha.. Okay thanks for information! :D I've never been into any kind of games :D

Thanks for the congrats on finishing Insanity. It was extremely hard but I only did what I could handle. I took the approach that I will at least turn on a DVD jump in and do the moves until I could not take it and take my own breaks, but not turn off the DVD until it was finished. I was about 232 when I did Insanity the first time. This time I have been trying to be more intense and trying to keep up with the video. Good luck on you goal to get into the Navy Reserves, you can do it!
