Hey everybody – I’m back! My name is Ashley, and I am a returning regular. I am 25 and live in Phoenix.
I was here last year around this time, determined to lose weight. When I first started in August 2006 I weighed 213.4 and through hard work I got my weight down to about 175 before life stuff started happening and I lost my focus around last April. I maintained for a while until I made a whole bunch of new friends and started going out to dinner a lot. Next thing I know here I am back starting again at 196.4 on 1/28/08.
I want to maintain between 150 and 160, and I want to get to 150 by the end of November. This is a less aggressive schedule than last time, but last time I was trying to fit into a costume
A lot has happened to me personally since the last time I posted. I used to work for my church – since then the church has closed and I have become a temp. I made a bunch of friends at a Dungeons and Dragons convention – and through them I have a boyfriend now. He is very supportive of my efforts and has joined the gym as well. It is difficult for him because he has a degenerative disk disease and fibromyalgia, so he basically has constant pain. He is a very strong person and finds it frustrating when pain prevents him from accomplishing what he used to. But – he is working with his doctors and a personal trainer to find a routine that works for him.
I plan to accomplish my goals the same way I did last time – eating less and exercising more. Right now I am on day 22 and I am down 3.4 lbs by 10 day weighted average. I am still trying to get over being mad at me for gaining back so much of my work – but really, I’m still down 20 from when I first started, so that’s something!
I remember getting such encouragement here last time, and I look forward to getting back in touch with old friends, and making new ones.
