Ok, so here is my diary to losing weight.
Well I started out good this week. I bought a scale (figured I would need one so that I can be happy when I lose weight)
Well I hopped on it first thing out of the box, clothes on hadn't been to the bathroom...you know everything that weighs you down. Well it read 206!! Yea!!!!!!!!!! I was really happy to be under 210 since I was expecting to weigh in around 215 (naked).
Well the next day I got up and used the bathroom then stepped on the scale butt naked. 199!! Holy crap. I've not seen a 1 at the beginning for years. How could this be??? Especially after eating 2 1/2 gallons things of ice cream in 4 days.
I guess just getting out once a week and walking has helped. Also I have a food-Nazi for a husband. Man he gets on my nerves but it's helping.

Well I hopped on the scale this morning to see if that 199 was real. And there it was again. I never want to see a 2 again. Although I will see it for a little while during the day with clothes on and after eating, but soon enough even with all that I will never way that much again.:jump:

i cant wait until i see a 1 at the beginning of my number. Hopefully i will within september.

My plans are to just eat healthy and exercise.
My biggest problem is portion size. I don't tend to pay attention to that.
So this past week I've been kinda paying attention to it, but also I am eating smaller main meals and having snacks in between.
I like eating like that so far, I kinda munch all day but it's not like before. Before I would eat big meals and have huge snacks.

I have discovered that baby carrots are good plain, no ranch dressing or anything. So I snack on carrots and some 100 calorie packs. When I get out a 100 calorie pack I also get some water out. For ever little cookie I eat I drink water. It makes that cookies last longer and I tend to drink 2 bottles of water with each pack.

As for exercise. I'm still working on trying to get into that. I'm starting to walk some but not as much as I could/should.
 
Ok, well today was an ok day. I didn't get out much and I could have eaten a little better although I didn't do that bad.

I ran out of cold water today, because I have been drinking so much. Yea!!! I'm going to have to remember to refill the pitcher more often.

I had a 100 calorie pack not too long ago and I drank 2 whole bottles of water with just the one pack. It really makes the pack last longer. I start by drinking some water then after each little cookie more water. It's awesome.
Before I would eat two packs but now one is just fine sometimes I've even split a pack with my husband.

I weighed in at 199 again today. I just never thought I was under 200. I'm hoping the scale will be friendly to me tomorrow also.

I bought a Kelty Pathfinder child carrier today. Now I can get back to hiking, that should really help me out especially in the September 2lb Challenge and the Halloween challenge.

I am already planning a hike this weekend and it's the first of September so both challenges would have started YEA!!!

You know seeing 199 on the scale I was a little shocked because I thought I weighed more. But I was not overjoyed. It's been one of my biggest goals and still it didn't make me super happy. Actually I didn't have much emotion to it at all. Maybe because I was not at the Doctor's office to see it. I don't know. I wish I had been happy, but I will just keep chugging on. Maybe when I see a 18? I'll be happy.

Ok, today was an ok day.
I ate pretty well except the two pieces of pepperoni pizza I had for dinner. But hey I work at Papa Johns on Friday nights and was starving. I knew it was bad of me to be so hungry, but I got called in early and couldn't get a snack or a healthy dinner. But on the good side I used to split a large pizza with my husband and we each ate ALL 4 slice of our sides at one sitting.

I went on two walks today, neither very long, but both had hills. I wore my son in his new carrier, that thing is awesome.

I drank TONS of water, I emptied the Brita pitcher on my own, and got mad because I had no more cold water. I am now going to pour the water into a 2quart container so that I have plenty of water on hand.

The scale this morning said 198 Yay!! I actually wasn't super happy just pleased. I think I need to tone down these diary entries and make them a little more readable and consistent. But this is just the 3rd day so I'll get into my groove.

Today was the first day of the Halloween Challenge, and did I do good.

Started out same ole same ole. But then I went hiking, I did probably around 3 miles. It was mostly shaded which was nice.

Then I also drank 100 ounces of water!! I was really cold afterwards because I drank about 45 of those ounes at once.

I went to my mom's for dinner and she made kabobs with Chicken,Onion,Tomatoes, and Pineapple on them. Yummy!! I also had a salad and a little bit of Jalapeño Cheese Foccacio(sp?) bread.

I have also had a couple snacks today to keep my body going and I'm feeling great.

Ok, so I haven't posted for a while, that doesn't mean I haven't done anything, just the opposite.

I've been walking around town now that I have a child carrier. I decided to go to the bank the other day, 2.3 miles each way. It feels so good to get out and walk around like that.
I've been pretty good, the days that I am not eating well it's not that I am picking bad choices, but it is the fact that I am not snacking in between meals sometimes. I try to eat breakfast then a snack then lunch then a snack then dinner then a snack. Lately I'm getting bust at times and forgetting to eat my snacks.

I'm trying hard but we will see.
It's weird when I go out to eat, because they give such big portions. I used to think they were small but now that I am eating smaller meals, they restaurant meals are huge. I went to KFC ( I know not the greatest) I got 8 piece boneless chicken and a side of coleslaw. Now I had thought that it came with a biscuit but it didn't and thank goodness. If I had a biscuit on top of that I would have busted. Usually I would have eaten all that foot and still have been hungry but no... I could barely finish all my chicken. And my coleslaw was not a heaping amount, just a nice small spoonful. I would have felt jipped before but not this time. It sure does make eating out cheaper when you don't have to get as much food.
 
how many calories does the boneless chicken have? we dont have that at KFC here. Sounds yum though :D
Are they like boneless wings? or breast or something else?
 
actually nm i found on on the website, crikey 100 calories each for a wing :O

I didn't really have much choice to the food. I mead there was probably something else I could have chosen, but the road it is on is so hard to turn on and off of. So I leave the hospital where my mom works take one road out, make a right, pull in to 1 of 3 places, then make a right out of the parking lot back on to the road, and then another right on a road that takes me back the the hospital.
Hey I just noticed you live in Auckland, my sister lives in Hamilton.
 
oh seriously? Hamilton is a nice place, id love to move but there just isnt the work there :/

I often traven and visit though - its only an hour away. I have a bike race in about 3 weeks time from hamilton to auckland even :D
