Hi All!!!

I am ready to get rid of all this weight! I have had this struggle with weight since H.S...and it keeps following me :eek2: I just want to be comfortable in my skin...I want to be healthy and I want to wear the clothes I want to wear! I dont even shop anymore because its depressing to continually going up to the next size!!

Something has to be done...so here I am! trying Once again.
I'm going to sign up for weight watchers and this time Commit to it! I want to do it sooo bad, but its hard when no one really pushes you and/or tired of you trying and not succeeding..

Enough of the sappy stuff and on to the real deal!

MY HIGHEST WEIGHT: 235
MY CURRENT WIGHT: ~230 ( NOT REALLY SURE)
MY OVERALL GOAL WEIGHT: 150 POUNDS (so scary)
MY NEXT CHALLENGE: SEPT1 HALLOWEEN
MY GOAL FOR OCT 31: 212 (18 POUNDS)

PooPoo Mood!

I dont know today is suppose to be the bestd ay of my life because i'm supposed to be taking charge of this weight...as I took a lunch walk, I started to feel sad...like gosh this is gonna be so hard! Even thought the weight is holding me down and I feel somewhat invisible to those around me, I feel like why am I evem going ot try so hard if I usually fail at this anyway?


But I dont want to have that mentality. I want to Commit to this! I hate being left out because of how look...i'm an amazing person inside, I just want everyone to see it. Oh GOsh!

A new day..

So this morning I had an Internal battle :boxing: . My alarm went off at 5:02 am and I heard the non radio station play that extreme noise, to scare me awake. I laid there for 10 second before I trekked across the room to turn the alarm off... I got back into my bed knowing that the second alarm would go off at 5:15am...I'm a hard sleeper, I figured if I set multi alarms I would be urged to get up and exercise before its time for me to get ready. This is a ploy you can also use...set your home alarm, and cell phone alarm for different times so if you fall back to sleep you will be awoken again in a few short minutes.

Well 5:15am came around and I thought "LiVixen When are you going to start changing the way you live, your unhappy...this is the first step!" So I climbed out of bed..moved the furniture over...threw on some sweats and a sports bar- put in my Turbo jam tape and got to work for 30 minutes. This wasn't my most active and happy times working out...I wasn't as into it...but I completed the tape with loads of sweat pouring out of my body. I felt good...like some things shifted around. hahaha! :rotflmao:

Now I need to make a meal plan. I purchased a weight watchers magazine thinking it would give me some ideas on things I can purchase for work. I sit at a desk all day long..So I get pickish..and I always want a little snack...I eat at 9am 11am 1:30pm and then again for dinner at around 7pm...and Sometimes I want an evening snack.

I need to plan out some meals...So that I get everything in...yet

This morning I had
Whole wheat bread with 2 tablespoons of peanut butter.
About 15-20 grapes


11am I had 1 Pollio String cheese.


Just deciding on lunch any ideas?!

Girl, I completely understand where you are coming from. My weight issues began in college, and I too want to feel comfortable in my own skin and to actually enjoy shopping again.

I have also been doing the morning workout thang and believe me I know why you set multiple alarm clocks. This morning when mine went off at 5 AM, I turned it off and turned over all at the same time!!! I ended up getting up 13 minutes later after laying in bed and realizing that I would rather go to the gym in the morning over the evening when it is so crowed. Anyways I did go, but it helps when I remember all the reasons why I want to lose the weight, including the thought of wearing that size 7/8!!!! Well, sorry for rambling.

Welcome and hang in there!!!

P.S. Some lunch suggestions are a chicken wrap with veggies, tuna on a salad, taco salad with ground turkey all with some fruit and lowfat yogurt. Well, that was all I could think of, I need to work on adding more variety.

That drive to get up and do it even if you don't want to is what's gonna make it happen! If it were easy, there'd be nobody on this forum, right?

Take it slow, every good day will bring you closer. You'll be bolstered by the way you'll begin to feel as the weight comes down and the energy level goes up!

Plus we'll all be here to cheer you on.

So for lunch I ended up going to the supermarket and buying some smart ones and lean cusine and took over my company fridge!! hahaha...I bought some raisins for when I want a sweet snack..I also bought total cereal..for the morning because I tend to buy frosted flakes alot..

I hope this is a new beginning..even though tonight I ate dominos...:eek:
Well Old habits die hard right...my boyfriend ordered it before I came home from work! Well good nigth all tommorow is a new day.

PS this weekend I'm going to invest in a scale!!! I want to weight myself when I want to!! lol

Hi YAll!!

So I'm posting for yesturday and today. Yesturday I had a Nice west-indian breakfast, but it was against my diet!!

Anyhoo..After that I drank water allll day and for got to eat. In the evening my whole family had KFC...(Kentucky Fired Chicken and I was the one to go get the food. At the drive through I made the decision I was not having the same thing...I ordered A salad for me!! With grilled chicken...I was proud....I know I know, I should stay away form it all..the fast foods...but I chose the best of the Evils!

Now today I went to the hair dressers...I had corn porriage only about 1/2 cup and drank water for the whole day. For lunch I has white rice.. with grilled shrimp from the spanish restaurant int he neighborhood....

I haven't eaten much since then

I need to practice bringing in my fruits ands yogurt and planning ahead....

Sounds like you are doing well. I know it can be hard to make the right choices when you are eating out, but it sounds like you are a pro! Keep up the great work! As for planning ahead, it works!!! That is the only way I make it b/c it seems like in the morning I am always running late. Have a great week.
 
Lalalala! In a decent mood..excercied 2 times since sunday..great step up form no excercise...Still doing those Turbo Jam tapes...I also got in a dance routine with my 10yr old cousin...trust me the next day I was in PAIN! lol

We were whining and gyrating...haven't done that in a minute!!! Not even when i go and hang out! hahaha. It was fun. Made me remember how much I loved dancing.

So I've been good guys!!! I have my lean cuisine's and smart one's for lunch, and somewhat of a heavy meal for dinner...what I mean by heavy is rice and chicken usually...yesturday I had cabbage and chicken...so it wasn't too bad...but I have to change up the afternoons!

My skin is looking very suble do to my self created water therapy! I drink a 1.5 liter a day! a step up from hardly any water...the truth comes out!


Today for breakfast had my Oatmeal with brown sugar and a pollyo string cheese about an hr later....then my plum about 2 hrs later....

I love to snack, so I have my 100 calorie packs to munch on!!

Hope to have a better update next week...I'll speak to you againbefore the week is over!! Smooches!

Working up a sweat while dancing is always a good time! It's good to have fun with exercise so you'll stick to it. That's why I love my Jazzercise.
I go through phases with the microwave meals. Sometimes they're great, sometimes I get bored with them. I always keep fruit, yogurt, string cheese, whole wheat bread and peanut butter in the company fridge just in case.
It's always nice to come home and have a nice big healthy meal. What works for me though is splitting that big meal in to 2 'lunches' during the day and having something smaller at night and a piece of fruit later for a snack. Sometimes when I have a big meal at night it sits in my belly, I feel bloated and don't sleep as well. :(

I do love those 100 cal packs. They really do soothe my chocolate cravings with the mini chocolate chip cookies!:jump:
Drinking lots of water and green tea has also done wonders for my skin and even my nails. I've never been able to keep my nails long as they've always been dry and broke easily. With all the changes in my diet that I've made they're grown really strong.

It's good that you're noticing the positive changes. Keep up the good work!
 
Feeling sort of Depressed today:rolleyes: .

My mom toldme last night if I dont lose the weight my boyfriend of 8 yrs will leave me for osmeone who dos take pride in their appearance. i shot back, If he doesn't love me big or smalll he doesn't love me.

My statement is a true statement, then why do I feel like its a big lie in my head. She said there are young girls my age in shape and taking care of their business and looking good..and seeing that he works downtown, I might lose him to one of them. Very hurtful.


I feel horrible. I can't find time to excercise because I'm exhausted when i come home...I have no one to go with jogging or anything. No one to support me! I like my tapes but I'm so exhausted in the AM!! Its hard for me to get up...I need to change my life totally!!!

I'm sad guys...I feel like I gained back the weight I thought i lost. Oh well.
 
Morning all...

So I am thinking about putting up postings around my neighborhood for a alking buddy..I printed up 4 flyers and I am gonna put up one in the grocery store..one in the laundry mat, one in another laundry mat..and a community board I saw in the neighborhood. I need help. I can't do it alone!

I bought cute little t-shirts with sayings on it to go jogging..I even purchased a new MP3 player since my ipod went byserk! I got a zune..but i think I might send it back for something more simpler!!

No more weight loss....bored and confused!!

I have had simalar issues I have been heavy since 7th-8th grade and it has only gotten worse.I finnally had my 4th son last April and said I can't keep doing this I have been atleast 230-255 and it is hard at times then other times it seems easy,you just have to find something to keep ya motivated for me clothes I love jeans since I lived in stretchy pants for the longest time so I try to buy 1 pair a size or 2 to small then work hard to fit into them,I was a 22 and bought a pair of 18's and when I fit into them it felt like a size 2 lol.I am working on 12's now.You can do it stay strong,and the halloween challange should help keep ya going to.:) Have a nice day Tammy

A hello from a Casper's Countdown team member!! Yay we are going to shed all those lbs! I found the begining very hard too.. and forget about exercising, I hated it!! Then I MADE myself do it for a period of time like 3-4 weeks, no matter how much I did not feel like doing it. I went by the thought that if you do something consistently for a while it will become a habit. And it did!!! Now i like exercising and looking forward to it!!

Edited: i forgot to add, I do the turbo jam tapes too, I love it!!! and I also eat a lot of lean cuisine's because I pressed for time during the week.

Hey guys..thanks for posting and your support..

So this challenge is soo good for me! Its like keeping me grounded. If I think I want to have something that i shouldn't..I think..dang I dont want to be the one with the slowest weight loss!! So i chnage my tune and do something different.

So I have been walking..I figure I'll give the turbo jam tapes a rest because I do One and if I can't finish I tend to get discouraged. So I walk in the EARLY morning and in the evening with my mom!

Well in the AM its only me. But in the evenings we go together.

Today I bought V8 100% vegetable juice..yuck yuck yuck!!!
I dont get enought vegetables in..so i figured i'll try a substitute! I dont even like tomatoes..and here I go drinking tomatoe juice...it tastes like spagetti juice..ill. HAHAHAHAH

So i'll try the fruit juices instead.


But i love fruit..so i dont need it..I just need to try some new vegetables!!

Give me any resipes if you have them..

I don't like the regular V8, but the low sodium V8 is OK. Thats what I drink. There has also been a post today about V8 Fusion (has fruit with veggies) light. Sounded like it was good and pretty low on calories and sugar.

Your walking schedule sounds great! Its always nice to have someone go with you.
 
gotta be careful with the fruit juices, some of them has added sugar, salt and way too much calories per cup.

I love eating vegetables!! i can't imagine drinking them!! LOL I try to buy veggies at local farm markets, whatever looks really fresh and yummy and look up recipes to make them. I use vegweb.com for some awesome recipes, you can even search on the ingredients you have on hand.Most of them are healthy, but I find myself sometimes modifying and using low-fat or fat-free cheese and milk if it calls for it..etc.
Last time I made acorn squash. Just cut it in half, put it in water cut side down and put it in the oven for about 35-40 min. Then I turned it around, sprinkled some cinnamon on it and baked it for another 20-25 min. It is awesome, almost like a dessert and one half of acorn squash has only like 80 calories in it, and it is extremely filling!!
Good luck getting more veggies in, it is extremely important for your body. The less alteration you do to a vegetable (less cooking) the more nutritients it will still have. I personally steam most of my veggies instead of cooking them. But I am also a vegetarian so a little biased with my opinions. :D

Also walking is awesome for exercising!! Keep going fellow Casper and you will benefit from it all as well as our team!!
