if you're undecided about the pics, you can do what i did - i took pics about once a month or every 10lbish. Its made a great weight loss timeline now that always cheers me up when im having a crap day :)

Yeah I actually have been taking pics about every 10lbs and it does cheer me up to go look back at them. I was mostly undecided about whether to go ahead and post pics on here or wait until I was at 50lbs lost....but I was impatient and bored lol so I went ahead and posted them now.
 
P.F. Changs actually went really well. I think for the day I only had about 1500 calories. At P.F. Changs I ended up getting shrimp with lobster sauce, brown rice, and the spinach with garlic. It was all pretty good :) I let myself have a couple bites of fried rice, but I was satisfied with just those few bites....which was nice.

I was planning on walking tonight. I was actually going to try and do 7 or 8 miles, but it didnt end up working out....I had a friend with a crisis and just now finished talking to them, so its too late to go walk. Tomorrow night I am going to try 7 or 8 miles though. I have never walked that long, at least not intentionally, so hopefully it wont kill me lol.

I cant believe this weekend is almost over........
 
oooh I am a regular "member" now lol, not just a "junior member" hahaha....I don't know why lol, but that makes me smile :p

So far today has been good food-wise. I got into a bad habit last week of not having enough fruits and veggies every day and I ended up with too many calories, so this week I am really putting my foot down and sticking to the plan of mostly beans, fruits, and veggies (with the occasional kashi cookie lol). I also need to get in the habit of taking my vitamins everyday. I am HORRIBLE with remembering to take pills lol. Luckily I haven't had to worry yet about remembering to take birth control pills (I was on them for a long time, but not to prevent pregnancy and I would forget to take them pretty much every other day). So, I need to figure out a system or routine so that I remember to take them everyday. I haven't taken them yet today, but right now I am in my work study, so I'll have to wait until I get back to my room. Maybe I should write in sharpie on my hand lol, that could work :p . Hope everyone is having a good day.

lol I wish I could do that, but I live in a dorm with community bathrooms (its gross :eek: ) so I keep my toothbrush with my shower stuff in a closet in the bathroom lol. But when I get home this summer (1 1/2 weeks - woooohoooo) I will definitely do that. Thanks :)

I never quite worked for me to remember to take my vitamins, but it might work for you :)

You are absolutely fantastic. You're doing so great, I hope that I will see such great results. It must feel great, heck I already feel great and I've only lost 14...so I know of haha.

I'm sure you will see great results :) you have such a positive attitude about it which really helps. I find myself varying everyday on how I feel about myself. It really sucks that you cant see a difference in yourself because you see yourself every day. At least I have a hard time seeing a difference. I have this huge hope of getting down to about 200lbs before I go to Scotland and everyday I go back and forth on whether I believe I can reach that goal...it really depends on what the scale tells me that morning. I really need to stop weighing myself everyday.....but its sooooo hard.

Here are my calories so far today

Breakfast: zone bar and a little bit of coca cola (the vending machine was out of diet coke which i was in desperate need of to stay awake, so I just drank a little bit of regular coke)- approx. 300 calories
Lunch: refried beans and broccoli- approx. 300 calories
 
WHOOOOOO lol I am in a good mood right now. I went to Lane Bryant cause they are having a sale where you buy one bottom (pants, shorts, capris, skirts) and you get gone free. So........I got a pair of jeans in the next size down (size 18- im not that size yet, but I'm hoping in about 15lbs I will be and since it was a sale I went ahead and got them). Then I got a skirt that actually goes above my knees. I havent worn a skirt that goes above my knees since I was like 13 lol. I also got a pair of shorts and a pair of bermuda shorts, a reallllly cute shirt, and 2 bras. I ended up saving $160 (lol it sounds like a Geiko commercial) but it was really cool. It would have cost $280, but it only cost $120 cause they gave me $50 off since I spent over $150 and I got the Lane Bryant credit card so that gave me an extra 15% off. Lol it was fun. I havent gone clothes shopping in a long time.
 
Dang it, I was having such a good day and then tonight had to ruin it all. For dinner tonight they had NOTHING for me to eat, so I ended up eating a VERY non-Atkins friendly dinner consisting of a baked potato and a bowl of cereal. Well, I ate that at around 5- 5:30. At 8:30 I went for my walk. I felt kind of queasy and I thought it was from my rather rich dinner (it was rich for me). But I kept walking, figuring queasiness wouldnt kill me. Then all of the sudden I felt very weak and shaky and I realized I was having a low blood sugar attack. I went and sat down on the sidewalk and drank some water trying to gain some strength before heading back to my room. I somehow convinced myself that the orange I had in my room was not enough to help counteract this attack, and that instead I needed some cookies to bring my blood sugar level back up quickly. So, I went to the school store thingy and found some vienna cookies.........then I passed by the bulk food thingermajigger where they have things like yogurt covered pretzels, trail mix, dried fruit, and malt balls. I knew I was being bad, but I went ahead and got me some yogurt covered pretzels and malt balls to go along with my cookies. I chowed down on the cookies and they were REALLY good lol and they did help me feel better really quickly. But then I started eating the other things and I realized that they didnt taste that good since I wasnt hungry anymore. And I KNEW that my blood sugar level was already stabalizing, so I didnt need to eat them, but.......somehow.......im not sure how.....I convinced myself though some twisted logic that I needed to eat it anyways. So now I have eaten probably around 700-800 extra calories for the day. UGH I wish I really could kick myself, but I'm not sure how that would work lol. Now I feel even queasier after eating all that (though my low blood sugar is gone). And my weigh in is tomorrow.........so I am very unhappy with myself. Gosh, it was such a good day too.

But, I have learned that if I do eat only carbs, I need to eat something like a piece of fruit before I go exercise so that this doesnt happen again. I havent had many problems with my blood sugar level since I started eating healthier. And I know better than to eat mostly carbs for dinner and not expect to need to eat something else 3 hours later. Ugh, I'm going to sleep now......I still feel sick though :(
 
Don't feel bad lisa, we all experience some sought of set back here and there. Everytime before I work out, I try to have a peice of fruit or a granola bar. It gives me the energy (lots of time, I try to pump glucose into my system) before working out. (also, it feels I am more energized; i work out harder and longer)

And I am a big critic of the low carb diet. Your body main, prefeered energy source is carbs. And taking that energy away may yield bad effects.

Oh I'm not actually on the low carb diet. I eat plenty of carbs. I actually eat cereal at dinner a lot whenever there isnt anything else to eat. But, I usually go walk earlier (at like 7) and sometimes I will eat a piece of fruit before I go to give me a little sugar boost...I just completely forgot yesterday.....lol now I will never forget again.

I weighed myself today and since last wednesday I lost 2.4lbs, which isnt bad I guess. I love seeing the 3lb mark, though. But as I get to a lower weight I know I wont see as big of numbers...which will suck lol.

I'm sooooo ready for summer. I hate this feeling of restlessness......I just want to go HOME! lol.
 
Hey girl, I've been MIA lately. Working too much!! I've been good lately though. Trying to jog about 4 miles 3 or 4 times a week and it's making me feel better, already. I was on a roll for a little while but I caught some sort of cold so it's slowing me down a bit. Good still see you're still dropping!:)

Hey! yeah I noticed you were missing lol. I have a feeling that this summer I won't be able to be on here as much cause I will hopefully have a full time job! Though, I definitely am very fond of this place, so...i'll probably find time to get on :)

Wow jogging 4 miles is great!!! I hope I can jog like that one day. Right now I don't really attempt running cause the weight on my knees and ankles is too much, but I'll probably keep trying every 10lbs or so to see if my body can handle it. I totally understand how getting sick slows you down. When I get sick I feel really lethargic for like 2 weeks so I convince myself that exercising will only wear my body out and then I wont get better :p .......its some kind of twisted rationality that my mind does lol.
