Lisa's Final Countdown, The Good Days, the Bad, & the Ugly

HEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm glad your back! Let's kick it into high gear with our new years resolutions!!!

*waves at Paul* glad to see you back too!

And Nibbit, I sees you sneakinz :D

It really makes me happy to see so many of my friends back on here. Now I just have to check in more often myself, lol.

And Buckeye and Karl, can't forget you guys either :D All these posts make me feel special :D I really did miss the support we get on here.

So I'm having a really hard time STARTING. I need to just bite the bullet this week and plan it out and go to the grocery store. When I get my crap together and I'm organized I do so well but when stuff starts to crumble my diet is the first thing to go. Since I've been putting off the food part I had intended last night to start with the exercise first this time. Whenever I put that much effort into exercise my food naturally lines up and I want to be healthier because I'm already doing the other part...as weird as that may sound.

Unfortunately I fell down the stairs at work this morning and landed on my tailbone. Let me tell ya it hurts like hell. I had x-rays and nothing is majorly out of wack but they did say their could be a hairline fracture they couldn't see. As it is I bruised the hell out of it so it's gonna be a week or so to heal...unless it's fractured then I'll be sore longer they said.

On a different note I've been feeling better other than that. I realize now part of the reason I wasn't getting on here before too was I was in a funk and probably better that I wasn't on here too much "sharing" lol.

Anyway I have to work tonight...I probably could have got the night off but I can't afford to lose the hours. I'll pop in later and post my new goals :) Big hugz for all you awesome people!

yea, I always have trouble starting too...once I get going, i'm good, Its just that darned first step! You'll get there girl, just keep trying!

Sorry to hear about your fall :( I hope you get to feeling better soon!

Awww Lisa. you poor honey. :( nothing sucks more than a banged up tailbone. I slipped on the ice outside my front door a month ago and racked my tailbone on the marble slab outside. OUCHIE. i couldn't sit right for 2 weeks. that sucked.

And Buckeye and Karl, can't forget you guys either :D All these posts make me feel special :D I really did miss the support we get on here.

Aww thanks YOU make ME feel special!!!

OH NO!!! I hope you are feeling better! That sounds horrible! I'm glad you got it looked at and it isn't anything serious. Although be careful, I went to the doctor's and they couldn't see a stress fracture because it was so small and then a month later, it had gotten big enough so they could see it! Take it easy and don't over-do it!!!

Good luck with starting up again!!!!

Hi Lisa

Oh I am sorry to hear you fell down the stairs..that really sucks..it sets you back both physically and mentally...boy do i know that one. Hope you get to feeling better soon.

As far as motivation, I am with you there too. I am hoping this newly found
spark I am feeling doesnt go away. The only thing I can say is that I just ended up going to a weight watchers meeting and that seemed to help me...then I got online with their online tools and that gave me another boost...then I walked the treadmill..and another boost...and finally I watch every show on TV to motivate me...Biggest Loser, The health channel and the shows about the biggest teenager, the health challenge, You on a Diet, the 672 pound woman...the people are so inspiring....and it makes me look at things differently too. Here is a woman who cant get out of bed because of her weight..yet she is so sweet and now has decided to do whatever it takes to get the weight off including several major surgeries. It makes me realize that I need to stick with this gameplan or I could be in big trouble, it also makes me thankful for my current weight....I dunno, I am rambling...all I am saying is I am doing everything to keep myself in the game...it scares the hell out of me that I might lose this newly found motivation.

Hugs and have a great day
Kare

Hey lady how's the tailbone? I hear ya on the "exercise makes the eating fall into place". You get to where you don't want all your hard work to be for nothing... Hopefully you're "butt" is feeling better and you're ready to get going! :hurray:

not much time to post but here's calories for today, be back tomorrow with more time :)

half leftover chicken/bacon/cheese sub-550
mrs. fields cookie-220
tomato soup (made with milk) 300
grilled cheese sandwich x2= 600

total 1670

Hey Lisa!!! Been a minute... Glad to see you around! I'm a little preoocupied with this challenge that has sort of taken on a life of its own so if I don't get in here as often as I like I'm sorry :( But I'm still thinking of you...

Hey guys, thanks for all checkin up on me :)

I've been fighting off being sick for seems like months. I had bronchitis and was over it for maybe...a week? Then started the whole thing all over again. I feel like I'm finally getting on the other side of it but I've been really tired all the time. My tailbone is healing but still really sore too. Sometimes better than others but hurts enough that combined with being tired I'm not getting a whole lot done and I start back to school next week ;/.

Other than that things are ok. I've reloaded all my freezer cooking stuff onto my computer and plan on doing that in small stages. I don't see me up for doing one huge cooking day successfully but if I break it down I should be ok. I haven't done this since we moved so having a bigger kitchen and a freezer that's not 2 stories below should help alot. And although some of the recipes I'm going to do aren't necessarily "healthy" (like meatloaf, mashed potatoes), they all have the calories broke down and I figure as long as I'm watching portions and adding in veggies and salads for sides I should be ok. Anything is better for my waistline and budget than fastfood at this point.

Which brings me to today's calories, luckily I didn't eat most of the day ;/.

cheese pretzels- 200
KFC dinner- 1560
honey bbq wings (3)- 230

Total- 1990

Lisa, that's the pits--bronchitis and an injured tailbone :( Hope you feel much better soon.

Good idea about the budgeting and everything, hope it all works out for ya!

how many cals per serving for the meatloaf you're making? I've got a fiesta meatloaf that my kids just inhale that's got 320 cal per serving. so if you've got something better, SHARE!!! and if mine has lower cals, I'll share too. ;)

The one I used last time was nothing special and I probably won't use it but it's 389 cals per serving. They just use ketchup, seasonings, eggs, ground beef and oats. I was going to look for a better one then just make extra and freeze. What's yours?

well it's a fiesta loaf so it's got salsa instead of katsup, and low sodium stove top stuffing instead of oats. but other than that it's ground beef, eggs, water, optional chili powder, and bake it. I can PM you the recipe iffen you want. I like it, it never ends up dry, and my kids just inhale it. and you can play around with the ingredients a bit if you want. :D
