Lisa's Final Countdown, The Good Days, the Bad, & the Ugly

Yea...the girls helped my co-worker take her kids trick-or-treating...and pretty much trick-or-treated too even though the company I work for would have said it wasn't age appropriate. But hey they had fun so I didn't care. With candy involved they weren't stoppin so ended up being a very long walk.

Anyway my calories for yesterday: 1975

Gotta go study...almost getting caught up *crosses fingers*

I'll get to catch up in the forum sometime Thurs. :) Hope ya'll are having a great week.

Thanks Karl :)

Calories yesterday: 1590

Lower than usual because I went to take a "nap" and never got back up :X I feel like I'm holding on by a thread the last two weeks being so hectic and I'm not able to preplan like I'd like to. But I managed to get to the store Mon. and put some stuff in the fridge. So even though I'm not able to focus on my weight loss I'm still able to count calories, even when things are hectic and I'm holding on by a thread. I've gotta say that I am happy when I think about it though because if I was still in my "diet" mentality I would be off my diet and gaining weight for sure. I know I've said this before but it's still amazing to me and it gives me hope for the long haul that I'm finally going to be able to lose the weight no matter what is going on at the time in my life. Just sometimes I'll be losing weight slower than others, which I'm sure is fine too.

Speaking of which, it's not weigh in day but I checked anyway and I'm down another pound :)

Oh and one thing I didn't mention...I bought that hulless puff'n corn at the store when I went Monday. But I was smart and opened it and then weighed out portions on my food scale and then sealed them back up in individual packs with my seal-a-meal. So now I have it in there and I can have it when I want it but I don't have to eat it all at once because it's going to go stale. It also helps that it didn't taste as good as I remembered when I opened the bag the first time to pack it up. Guess I'm over my puff'n corn kick, lol.

And I think it's finally sinking in that there isn't any food I can't have because I'm not on any crazy restrictions. So I don't feel the need to take a week off to eat everything I haven't been allowed to have, lol. Also since I started taking my increased dose of metformin this weekend my urge to eat everything in sight has gone away and I know that has a huge part in it too. Just shows what an affect hormones can have on our food intake....at least for women ;/.

Ok no more procrastinating....I haven't studied and I have an exam today so I'm off. :waving:

Just popping in to wish you luck on your test and congratulate you on your progress so far! You are doing awesome! :hurray:

The first pic of me was back in May 2008, right before I joined the forum...not at my highest weight but I think only about 10lbs under it. And the second pic I took today. I see a difference :)

losing weight had taken years off your face... you're looking much younger... your current picture you look about 10 years or so younger than your before picture...

Wow thanks Mal :D That's an awesome compliment, especially since I know you don't say stuff unless it's true. Wonder if I lose more weight if I can take off ANOTHER ten years :X lol

Oh and I always neglect to post my other kitty :D This is Mariah and me :) It was taken when I was about 30lbs lighter than I am now. I think she looks so adorable posin. She was very pissy after the flash went off though.

ok...gotta go back to studying...think I may need to go sit in my room away from the computer :X

Wow lisa. you do look 10 years younger than your before picture. I'm glad you're seeing a difference. it helps to have those visual rewards when you're working towards a goal like this.
Oh, and very gorgeous kitties. :D

Thanks guys :) I finally had to get in my car and drive to the campus and study IN my car. It's hard to procrastinate that way cuz where you gonna go? lol

So anyway...that chemistry exam sucked. Half the class takes it in the test center because he lets us and in class we only have 50 minutes. In the testing center we get 3 hours if we want it and most of us take at least 2. I always leave knowing which ones I messed up on but I'm not sure how many points he's going to take off for some things. I'm hoping for a B...but we'll see tomorrow.

Anyway food for today:

Breakfast
2oz kashi cinnamon harvest cereal
1/2 cup soy milk
1 banana

Lunch
Frozen dinner-300
Sandwich with several lunch meats & cheese-500

Dinner
Tomato soup-290
2 grilled cheese sandwiches (made with I can't believe its not butter spray)-460
---750

Total-1900
