Lisa's Final Countdown, The Good Days, the Bad, & the Ugly

Hey Lisa! Just wanted to stop in and say hello. You are doing great with your weight loss! 28 pounds is amazing! I'm trying to get back in the habit of food journaling at the moment. Now I know, it's definately something that I can't do without! Anyway, I'm glad you are doing well. See you around!
 
Hey Lisa!!!! Just checking in because I haven't talked to you in awhile! You sound like you're doing great! Keep up the losing! haha I volunteer at the food pantry, and it is one of the most rewarding things in the world. I love any way people can get involved, but it has to be in a way that not only helps others but is fun for you. Please do it!

animal rescue groups are a great charity - and too often overlooked (they're also a great place to give old towels and blankets to as well

Great idea :) I hadn't thought of that. And I've already lost a pound since Friday YAY! I can't decide whether to get cans of dog/cat food or to save up my pounds and get dry...which is better for them I'm sure. I think I'll do both :D One can for every pound I lose so I can see them stacking up and then at the end get some dry food too to take in.

In fact I checked the scale this morning and I've lost another pound since Friday in spite of my chinese food yesterday. Of course as much walking as we did yesterday I'm pretty sure that offset my calorie overage. Which in itself is great because a cheat day to me used to mean eat everything in sight and the calories would be more like 5000, not only 500 over normal, lol. So one more pound and I'll be at 30 pounds lost :D I bet I can do it this week for sure. Well I'm off to class, catch ya'll later.

Seems like you are doing awesome, I bet you can see a huge difference with losing almost 30 pounds :drool5:! Have you tried the Jello shakes or steam bags yet? I haven't logged in since 10/17 so I may have missed your update :)

You must be psyched! I'm so happy to see you moving forward, especially as busy as you are.

Lisa, I know you don't have much time always.. But damn girl, if ya lost thirty... Time to update the ticker! C'mon show it, be proud!
 
So this week has been hectic and I haven't had time to come here and record my calories. Monday I had nothing but a banana and some gummy snacks all day then came home and we ordered chinese food. Yea it was so good Sunday I still wanted some Monday, lol.

Then yesterday I had a low-cal frozen dinner for breakfast and went to a buffet with friends from work. I did really well. I filled up on a huge salad first, partly because I knew that would help but also because it sounded really good. I went light on the dressing even. So a salad, veggies, and 2 sodas later I was already getting full so I didn't even eat a quarter plate more of food from the regular part. My only "cheat" really was I had dessert. I didn't eat again the rest of the day even though that was at 2pm...I forgot. I just am really happy that I can do that occasionally now and eat normally and as long as I don't go over board I'm losing weight. And the fact that I'm not obsessing about what I can't have has really made it so I'm not focused on food all day. I love it!

So I've already had breakfast, a low cal frozen dinner, and I'm starving and need to eat but I weighed myself even though it's not my usual time to make sure I haven't underestimated my food the last few days. Now tomorrow morning at my normal time for weighing I'm sure I'll weigh less but even now mid-day I'm already almost another pound down so I got to update my ticker :) It really is 30 pounds now...well 30.2 :D

Thanks :) I don't think I passed you up though considering I have alot more to lose. But yea I'm really starting to get excited and believing for the first time I'm going to do this and keep it off. So can't wait to take off another 30...would be nice if I could step it up and do another 20 before Christmas :) I'm so busy I know I won't do cardio every day but I do get alot of walking in now on campus. I think I'm going to start with a small goal and tell myself I have to get on the exercise bike 3-4x a week...then work up. I seem to do better with lower goals. Then I want to do more so I feel I made a good choice and did extra.

Anyway now I'm rambling but you definitely have me hands down on the kick ass workouts :D

You are awesome, lol. Best and most original congratz ever. It reminded me of the sandwich commercial where the model tells the housewife she hates her cuz she's eating the sandwich and then the housewife gets all flattered even though she's confused, lol.
 
And I'm SO bad for not keeping up on here but I know you all understand how crazy stuff can get. Brandy, Karl, keepasecret, curvie girlie, and Karebare, (and everyone else who always posts support) thanks so much for your support on the weight loss :) I know I always say it means alot but it really does...it reinforces it so much more when I do make a goal having people to share it with that understand and are proud of me. Hard to do that with other people who aren't trying to lose weight...I don't really TELL people...it's more just wait for people to notice. And then some people if they know you're losing weight try to sabotage...I'm sure everyone knows how that goes. So this forum is really my only outlet for this. And you guys are all awesome :)

I have been doing this, too. It's odd how some people don't say anything even though it's obvious. This weekend I got a nice complement from my friend's wife. I hadn't seen her since the beginning of the summer. It's the first real complement that I've received in a long time, so I got the warm fuzzies. A very nice feeling. :sifone:

As far as the saboteurs, I have always taken them as a challenge. See it as an opponent and it's easier to resist. (Yeah, bring on your worst, I can take it)

Oh Shandy! I didn't mean to make it seem like I was leaving you out on that...I was just trying to catch up from last time I posted and was only looking at the last days posts. But that was definitely directed towards you too because you are always so consistant coming by here to check on me and cheer me on :) I don't think you or Karl hardly miss a day so don't know what I'd do without you! :grouphug:
