So today I was in such a good mood even though I stayed over at work, right up until the not eating part hit me :X. I had a protein shake there but forgot and by the time I left I was really hungry but ok. I stopped at the store on the way home to pick up some stuff and thats when it hit me and I could feel myself goin evil, lol. This woman cut in front of me pretending to be with the people in front of her and it was all I could do to not ram my cart up her butt.
So I got home and my poor husband took it in stride. Although I'm still not happy he is wearing his interview shirt for tomorrow to a barbeque today but like he said, he's not 2 :X. I was even more crabby because I had "labor day" plans sprung on me. Getting home off a 16 hour shift I was really looking forward to a quiet afternoon with hubby, who I haven't seen in 2 days. I even thought we could go see a movie. Nope...over to a barbeque. I stayed home cuz I'm just not up for a ton of people today and a pile of food in my face that I don't want to eat. Just me and the cats so its quiet, I think I may sneak in a nap
On another subject, with some help from people here in the forum I re-evaluated my diet plan. This atkins induction is just not going to work...I've done it so many times I just am not going to make myself go through this again. This all or nothing kind of diet I KNOW is not helping me keep on track.
So while I will still be taking all I learned and still eating lower carb for my insulin resistance, I will not be sticking to meat, eggs, cheese, and a few veggies.
So today at the store I picked up some strawberries, nectarines, and cottage cheese. I already have dreamfields pasta which I will mix in occasionally, rice, low carb tortillas or wraps if I can find them and even english muffins once in a while. I'll be adding bread back in moderation and I may have starchy stuff like corn or potatoes but I think I should limit that to once a week. Oh and I bought CARROTS!!! Can't have them on Atkins but screw that...I'm borderline diabetic and on metformin so as long as I feel ok, watch my calories, and eat healthy this shouldn't be a problem.
I'm happy because now if I decide once in a while to go out to dinner with my hubby it's not a big deal...I don't have to go "well chinese is out forever". Honestly I think this was just making me more compulsive about the food and defitely sick of certain food groups.
I was really scared to do this yesterday but I'm glad I lifted the ban on my diet, lol. Unfortunately I was so hungry when I came home I attacked a rotisserie chicken and had a nectarine...about to go see how much damage I did on fitday.
