Lisa's Final Countdown, The Good Days, the Bad, & the Ugly

Arrrrrrrrrgh, those days are never planned but they do seem to happen to us "foodies". When I was losing weight, I certainly had plenty of days like that only they were balanced out by very "good" days and it all seemed to work out. Good luck for tomorrow :).

I knew from the start that my Valentine's Day was going to be a pig out day. But... everyone deserves there day.. and I didn't really care about it. So every day is a new day. Just pick your head up, and find the good reasons to stay on track. Thats what I reassure myself with everyday- positive reasons to stay on track.

I'm too exhausted for a long post but my total calories for today were 2050. Pretty good considering it was the weekend and alot of temptations...esp. at the movies. Gnitez All :)

Good job with the calories, this was a tough weekend for everyone! Have a good day tomorrow!

The incentive will be the points...

How was work yesturday?

Thanks Brandy :)

Ok so I was working my way through journals and still wanted to post some funny stuff about my day but a wave of exhaustion just hit me. I'd be worried but it was a really busy day so makes sense I'm tired. Sorry guys...I'll make my way around tomorrow.

Hey super congrats on hitting that 32 lbs mark, that's awesome !!:hurray::hurray:

Isn't it just great when you've treated yourself to a nice treat / pig out and yet your scales haven't budged, and not just that, you've lost weight AS WELL. Woaahh.... Like some kind miracle. Just makes life that little bit easier. :coolgleamA:

Ooh btw I just love shih tzu's they are just scrumptiously cute and I have always wanted to get one including a maltese pup. Once I get two of those I seriously will want for nothing more (apart from being thin lol)

What kind of dog is your new puppy? Maybe you mentioned it, but I missed it. Will you be posting pics of him? :)

ahhh I eat skinny cow ice creams occasionally too --- aren't they just great. They are great value for their calories, aren't they.

I get triple chocolate flavour (94 cal) and mint chocolate (87 cal) icecream on a stick style ones, I don't know if there are other types, as these are the only ones I've been able to find in London. ......... they are just delish.

Aaaanyway, enough rambling, well done to you for trudging along on your diet , you're doing FAB ! :sifone:

whoooh yeah! we seriously got lucky =P i also lost weight over the valentines day weekend =D

congratulations on 32!!! that is soooo amazing^^

That's my puppy in my avatar and she's a shih tzu. I keep meaning to put up pics of her but then I get sidetracked posting, lol. And I keep finding new kinds of skinny cow ice cream that's great but no where seems to keep the same stuff in stock. I can't find the chocolate mint ones anymore you were talking about. This week I found carmel ice cream cone ones...well guess as long as I find some. Thanks for the encouragement :D

That's awesome :) Go US! Know what's even more amazing? I've been steadily losing even though I usually retain water around this time...didn't find out it was "that time" until last night but this morning I weighed out of curiosity and I've lost almost another pound. I guess eating around 2000 calories right now is what works for me.

Thanks Cerella :) I appreciate that but I'm not sure I'm ready for a challenge right now. I'm doing really well and don't want to complicate things, especially since I just got back down to the weight I had lost before I quit in November. Last time I joined a challenge I put so much pressure on myself and felt like I was letting everyone ELSE down that the frustration ended up with me sabotaging myself in the end.

Keep me in mind for next time though. Down the road it may be just what I need, just not right yet :) ~Lisa

The other day while grocery shopping I gave into temptation and bought some lindor truffles on sale. I ate three and still stayed in my calories but gave the bag to my husband and told him to hide them with his stuff. But lately he hasn't been keeping his stuff out of my line of sight at all. For instance the no bake cookie incident on Saturday that ended with me binging all day Valentines day.

So this morning I wake up and there's the bag of truffles on his night stand...in my face. I get up and walk into the kitchen and there on our small kitchen table is his small 500 something calorie bundt snack cake things he got at work...TWO of them.

So I called him and asked him if by hiding the truffles he really thought I wouldn't notice them eye level with my pillow. He laughed and I did too but I told him flat out he has to stop leaving his crap out. And I told him I felt he wasn't being supportive. We'll see how that goes. This time I bagged the stuff up and put it in his den in his snack place where I wouldn't see it. If he doesn't stop he'll find me throwing his treats in the garbage in self defense so I don't eat it. Bet he'll stop leaving his crap out then!

Food today:

chicken strip sandwich-550

skinnycow ice cream-150

nectarines x2-120
plum-30

Salad with cheese, ranch, sunflower seeds, tomatos- 525

pork chop 4oz-220
pasta roni-400

total-1950

It would be awesome to see your will power of throwing it out...:):):)If you ahd to...You can and will do this...you are down 32 lbs and you will get down more and more...

The challenge isnt a team effort, it is individual, there is no failing...it is a big support thread, the only thing I think your waould have problems wiht would be the four hrs of exercise and who cares, do what you can...it is only for you:)

No pressure:)

Well now I'm doubly jealous that the avatar pup is your actual dog.

Ahhhh maybe one day me too...

Anyway, I had to laugh at your story about your boyfriend and the truffles.
Gosh it's so hard to stick to diets with a man around who can eat what he likes. :smash:

Today - coincidence really - I nearly strangled my poor ex in the car because he was chugging down a bag of peanuts and crunching away loudly as well, so after a few secs I was near boiling point (nuts and crisps are my downfall) and eventually burst out with: "Ah JEEEZ do you HAVE to eat that NOW??? Have some pity for us poor dieters !!! "

What a dumb thing to say, hahaha. :banghead:

So of course then he felt very bad, and then I felt bad. So I said 'Listen, when I say crap like that, don't listen to me OK. It's my own fault that I'm in this predicament' (i.e. I stuffed my face & stopped exercising last year so now I'm fat).
But I can't imagine living around temptation like that in the house, it would drive me a bit crazy. My kitchen is literally empty of anything remotely appetising, cos I don't trust myself lol.

So yeah, it's tough. I've had r.ships where I've had the bloke cooking supersonically-delish dinners and I'm sat there with a salad feeling suicidal. Really, really not easy. But good for you, you're hanging in there, super strong!!:Angel_anim:

Well you take care of yourself ...... and your lovely pup of course :)
