Lisa's Brand Spankin' New Diary

Thanks Mal :) lol it will definitely be fun.

Well I am not going to try and write out all the stuff I ate, cause it was a lot of small random things. But in the end it was around 1300-1400 calories. I also exercised a little. I walked/ran on the treadmill for 10 minutes. Much more walking than running though lol. Then I did 5 sets of 100 jump ropes. That was much more my style of working out. I felt like I was actually accomplishing something because I could count it. Plus I read somewhere that jumping rope is one of the best exercises. I used to be on a jump rope team in like 5th grade, so it wasn't too hard for me to get the hang of it again. I expect if I do it too much, though, I will get shin splints. I also did 20 girly push ups. I never really know how to do stuff for arms, and stomach. I have small weights, but that just takes so much time lol. I need to make up a circuit training workout or something. If anyone has any suggestions, please do tell!

Lisa, you look absolutely fantastic! Great job on maintaining your weight and not falling back into your prior life style. And there is nothing wrong with a little bit of chicken, that protein is good for you! :p

I am doing well. I just started a job at Movie Gallery and enjoying it so far. A lot less stressful then my old job and its pretty cool hanging out all day.

My two summer classes are killing me though :(

How are you doing? How's the movie theater?

Thanks Adam! I have to admit though, I did kind of fall into my old lifestyle. I was eating a lot of fast food and definitely taking in a lot of calories. But it was kind of a relief to see that my body won't just balloon up again if I slip a little. I think the cleanse actually helped a lot.

I'm sorry to hear about your summer classes. I have been reading your journal, so I noticed how much time you have spent studying. Thats dedication!

I'm doing pretty good. I'm getting nervous about leaving for Scotland, mostly nervous in a good way though. Now its just getting all this stuff done before I leave. All the technical stuff like working out stuff with my bank, my school's financial aid, insurance, doctors appointments, shots, lol the list goes on.......its starting to overwhelm me. But there are also fun aspects of getting ready to go.....such as a major shopping spree lol. I have bought a little bit of clothes so far, but right before I leave I am going to get some more. Today I am going on a shopping trip to get shoes, jewelry, and an ipod....so it should be a fun day.

The movie theater is good too. It's fun to work when you enjoy the people you work with. Its funny though because I am one of the oldest ones there, so I feel like an old fart! Have you been renting a bunch of movies since you started working at your place? I pretty much see all the new movies, except certain ones that I have no desire to see :):cough:: captivity ::cough::). My managers make fun of me because I am there all the time. On most days I am not working, I am taking someone to see a movie lol.

I gotta get back into updating this thing daily. Things have been going relatively well. Tonight I got off work at 11:30 and I have been getting into this bad habit of going to Taco Bell (4th meal! lol) late at night, but tonight I made a compromise with myself. I know I shouldn't eat that late, but I told myself I could have the lean cuisine- santa fe style rice and beans- when I got home and it would be "kinda" like Taco Bell lol. So I was proud of myself for that. This morning I weighed 227.4lbs, so thats 2lbs lost so far this week. Monday I will have the official weight lost for the week. I would love to be at 215 before I leave for Scotland.

Weigh In Today: 225.6lbs!!

So I lost 4lbs this last week. I started at 229.7lbs. I'm pretty happy with that lol.

Last night i actually got to work out at a gym. I did 14 laps in a pool, a bunch of weight machines, and about 10 minutes on different cardio machines. It was kind of a "fun" night at the gym, so it wasn't intense lol, but I made sure I swam some for my cardio.

Wow, congrats on the 4 lbs lost. Seriously, that is great, and you will be looking hot when you get ready to leave for Scotland :p

Great workout at the gym, its always nice to fit those in when we can.

well i didn't lose any weight this week. I went out to eat a couple times with friends and I didnt' really try to limit myself on what I ate....so I didn't lose. Oh well....do better next week. I really am starting to be much happier with myself. Its amazing how much more I care about how I look. My friends are getting to know a whole new much girlier side to me lol. The other day I went on a shopping spree and literally got about 10 pairs of earrings and 10 headbands (my new favorite accessory lol). I have also been stocking up on new clothes. I got a pair of size 20 black pants at Old Navy and i was really surprised at how well they fit....i think they may actually be a little big. I think I carry myself better because I am more confident. I feel less lumpy and more just big....but smooth. The right curves in my body are showing more lol.

I think I may actually be replacing my addiction to food with an addiction to shopping....which right now is okay because I need a whole bunch of stuff for Scotland, but eventually I will have to address the issue lol. I just love to shop now. I don't even really have to buy much, but I can spend the whole day shopping and never get bored.

I guess that is a pretty nice post. I really do feel better about myself and I know that I will get the rest of this weight off me. I don't foresee myself as being the fat girl for the rest of my life.

I am glad you are getting confidence, that is awesome. Its awesome you are feeling good and looking good (I love the new avatar).

Keep it up! I wish I had money to go shopping

Well done

Hi Lisa

I've just been reading your diary a little - you are going strong! Well done.

Hoping you have a lovely time in Scotland, you said you are going to continue the diet by buying a cookbook there - that will keep you out of mischief im sure! Put your mind to it and it will be a breeze. :)

All the best!
