Motivation-I want to run a 5K in September, up to 27 out of 31 minutes jogging

As I now start my 8th week of exercising and watching what I eat, I have lost 13.5 lbs. I have accomplished the 20 minute run and am looking forward to building that to 30 minutes. I also need to run faster. Which is better to work on first, speed or endurance?

5k

Still running, about to do my 1st 5k this weekend. Lost 22 lbs since I've started. It seems like I'm a bit stuck though. Any ideas?

I did it

I completed my first 5K. I definitely have room to improve but finished under my goal time. I have discovered running on my treadmill is way easier.
