Tonight I plan to relax and watch the American Election results :)

Glad to see that water weight gone properly!

Hello, Lingwo! Good to meet you. :)

I think that's what they call an oxymoron! ;)
(I sat up till nearly midnight a few days back, watching an election in my own country, Australia - I don't think I could handle another one just yet!)

Nice to meet you too, thanks for visiting! Yeah, it doesn't seem too relaxing. I'm Canadian, so I probably wasn't as stressed as our neighbors to the south :)

Nov 4/20 Weight: 196.4 (-1.0lbs /-7.2bs)

Yesterday's Macros: 163g Protein / 145g Carbs / 48g Fats = 1664 cals
Yesterday's Training: Rest
Supplementation: 5000 IU Vitamin D + Multi Vitamin + BCAA's + Creatine

Current Non-Scale Goal: Limit caffeine consumption to 1 coffee per day (7/14)

Notes:

- Scale continues to move down, which is good to see.
- I've made it a week without energy drinks or excess caffeine.
- I currently have braces, and had rubber bands added today. So, it's going to start becoming a pain to eat.... maybe that will help me :)

Well done on a new low I think?

Election results look positive! If you're a fan of the orange one, I apologise. ;)

Good news on the scales & the caffeine :)

Thanks Cate :)

It was a new low! I don't like the orange guys behavior at all. As far as policies go, I think they've both got pros and cons as to how it impacts Canada. I think for me, a Republican Senate and Biden Presidency may be good for at least these first two years.

Nov 6/20 Weight: 197.4 (+1.0lbs /-6.2bs)

Yesterday's Macros: 159g Protein / 123g Carbs / 36g Fats = 1448 cals
Yesterday's Training: Rest
Supplementation: 5000 IU Vitamin D + Multi Vitamin + BCAA's + Creatine

Current Non-Scale Goal: Limit caffeine consumption to 1 coffee per day (9/14)

Notes:

- This site was down yesterday, and I kind of missed adding my daily post. I did complete Workout B on Wendnesday night.
- I made it another two days without an energy drink and with a maximum of one coffee per day. My energy levels are a little higher during the day times now.
- These rubber bands on my teeth are making it so hard to eat. I'm going way under my calorie targets over the past few days. I'll likely have another higher calorie day tomorrow when I won't be at the office and it will be easier to remove the rubber bands when eating.

I´ve never had braces so forgive me ignorance: are the bands something you get used to or will you always have to remove them for eating? Well done not having the energy drinks! Good thing your energy is starting to come back: by Monday you should be as good as new :)

I think I will eventually. I've had braces for a year now, and it's always just been the wire and brackets so far. That is to address spacing and rotation in my teeth.

The rubber bands are supposed to fix my bite to ensure it's even. I'm supposed to wear them 24/7 but remove them for eating and oral hygiene only, they connect my canine teeth to molars, so it's impossible to use my molars to eat right now. I've been reading, and it sounds like some people only need to wear them for a month, but some up to 8 months.

It's weird. I didn't think my teeth looked that messed up, I just had a few thousand dollars on my health spending account and figured I would get braces for cosmetic purposes and didn't research the process that much. I figured my teeth would be a quick fix, but I'm almost one year in now and sounds like I have about 6 months to go before they can be removed.

I have one front tooth that got a bit rotated when my wisdom teeth tried to grow in horizontally instead of vertically. I´ve considered getting braces for it, but... I ultimately can´t be bothered. It´s not very noticeable. Pretty sure if I were to ask the professionals they´d have some very expensive offers to fix it :) If you have the money and the desire it´s a good investment though.

That money would definitely be better spent invested in the S&P 500.. the money I used for braces was an account my employer provides that has to be spent on things like massages, chiro, or medical spend that my normal health insurance wouldn't cover. I don't think I would have got braces if it were totally out of pocket.

:D I wish my employer would pay for me to get massages! I´m at a point where I´d kind of like to book some, then feel bad about not doing it in-house, but also feeling awkward about the idea of getting massaged by colleagues. So... it´s not happening at all. Which just gave me a nice non-food reward idea, so thanks :)

Nov 7/20 Weight: 196.2 (-1.2lbs /-7.4bs)

Yesterday's Macros: 145g Protein / 142g Carbs / 45g Fats = 1549 cals
Yesterday's Training: Workout A.. increased Bench Press
Supplementation: 5000 IU Vitamin D + Multi Vitamin + BCAA's + Creatine + Nitric Oxide

Current Non-Scale Goal: Limit caffeine consumption to 1 coffee per day (10/14)

Notes:

- New low weight :).. I could see 195lbs just around the corner.

- Calorie target for today is 2100; last time I had a higher calorie day I gained 3lbs, so expecting tomorrows scale could be high.

- I've always loved the bench press, but I always used to use dumbells when I worked out years ago. Now that I'm using the bar, I'm starting to really enjoy it again. I'm currently lifting 165lbs for 5 reps (3 sets). I really want to get up to 225lbs x 5, I've never got that high before.

- Caffeine goal is good. It's been years since I've gone this long without drinking an energy drink. I was probably averaging 2 energy drinks a day for the past 5 years.

- I soon need to start a new goal now that I seem to be winning the caffeine goal. I'm thinking increasing my cardio, but I'm not sure. Does anyone have some ideas?

Nov 8/20 Weight: 198.6lbs (+2.4lbs /-5.0bs)

Yesterday's Macros: 115g Protein / 193g Carbs / 103g Fats = 2155 cals
Yesterday's Training: Rest
Supplementation: 5000 IU Vitamin D + Multi Vitamin + BCAA's + Creatine

Current Non-Scale Goal: Limit caffeine consumption to 1 coffee per day (11/14)

Notes:

I went low on protein yesterday, I think the first time in weeks I haven't come close to my goal of 160~ish grams a day. I did get the bump on the scale due to ordering in. But, this week I did meet my goal of having my average weekly weight being 1lb lower than my weekly weight from last week.

It's a slow process for me.

Oct 11 (Avg weekly weight): 201.1 (-2.5lbs)
Oct 18 (Avg weekly weight): 199.8 (-1.3lbs)
Oct 25 (Avg weekly weight): 199.0 (-0.8lbs)
Nov 1 (Avg weekly weight): 198.5 (-0.5lbs)
Nov 8 (Avg weekly weight): 197.5 (-1.0lbs)

Slow maybe (though not terribly so) but very consistent so far. By the time the nice weather comes back you'll feel so much better and once you're there it doesn't matter how quickly you did it.

Hey Lingwo, I am watching your caffeine withdrawal. I think I need to do something similar, a cup of coffee or two in the morning would be ok, but I have started drinking more coffee and diet soft drinks all day. Some days I have managed to cut back, but it hasn't felt good.

Your weight loss looks great, keep up the good work! And it would have taken a lot of whiskey for me to be able to watch the election and relax! Far more than I have the calories for...

I don't deal well with hunger. Right now I feel a little hungry during the week, but not something that is bothering me. Also, I haven't felt deprived at all, so I think this is something I could keep up for a long while. I may take a couple of "compliance vacations" for a week at a time if I'm on vacation where I still won't go crazy, but also won't be so focused on eating so much protein.

Haha, well at least you have your result now! I felt horrible for the first week cutting caffeine back. Now I'm feeling a lot better.
