Today, I am starting my diary. I also made a chart for my daily food intake. I used a file folder and wrote several days on the inside of the folder. I am starting on a diet I have heard several people have had some success with.
The diet is as follows. You get 2 protein shakes a day and you can add 2 teaspoons peanut butter to one if you want. You can also have 2 pieces of fruit per day - which you can blend into your shakes or not.
You can have a salad during the day as well, basically as much in the way of greens as you want.
For dinner, you get 4 ounces lean meat, vegetables (not starchy) and you can have sweet potato or brown rice (portion controlled). I'm not adverse to a small plain potato either: I think they get a bad rap.
Anyway, I need something before bedtime, so I've worked a few crackers into the program.
If I am out of town, like at a baseball game I have coming up, I will count calories that day and keep them around 1600 per day.
Today, starting my diet, I weigh 235 pounds.
If the diet gets too restrictive or boring for me, I'll make a switch, but I would like to stick with this for at least the first month, because I think it is healthy and will help me change my eating habits.
