Lili's Diary

Oh Anna,
I'm sorry to hear of your friend :( What a difficult time!

I see the purple cloaked, red hatted committees all over the place - and I love their spirit, I just don't like the idea of dressing up ;)

Now, tripping young men, THAT I could get into ;)

Oh Anna,
I'm sorry to hear of your friend :( What a difficult time!

Thanks very much, M2M. Luckily, she's surrounded by loads of friends and family so I'm relieved to know she has support.

Last night I went to a concert (David Usher) and drank 2 bottles of Perrier water. It felt to go out and be in charge of myself instead of throwing caution to the wind and drinking alcohol.

Tomorrow I'm cooking a bunch of meals for a friend who's getting a mastectomy next Wednesday :(

are they doing any kind of reconstruction with themastectomy... or any kind of chemo?

glad she's got friends who will support her - it can't be an easy time... breasts aren't everything -- but... it's not going to be easy...

much luck to her...

Thanks Mal. I don't know if she'll get reconstruction or just the special bra with the ready-made-boobs. Gawd, it would be the worst. I know so many women who've had mastectomies. Yuck.

The concert was great. Old people like me were there too. LOL

Hi 2Skinny

I had been meaning to come to your journal ever since a few days ago, but I couldn't remember which one I had been thinking of. My memory is already shifty. :) I love reading your diary! You're hilarious and you have a great workout regimen. You burn tons of cals on that elliptical!? 500 in 40 mins? Cripe, I'm on the treadmill for an hour and it's 300 at the most (I'm not in very good shape ) I just wanted to say nice job, my mother is in her forties, 5'9, exercises all the time, you sound so motivated just like she is. Not to be too cheesy but she's my hero! She's hotter than I am ;) oh and I love it that you go to the gym with your son. I'm happy your friend has you to help her through this. Karma for you, 2Skinny!

Thanks Lukewarm; nice of you to drop by. :) I plan to drop by your journal again soon and hope you're doing great. Sometimes I think those calorie's burned counter-thingys are wrong on the elliptical trainer...I dunno. So good on you for being on the thing for an HOUR!!

Walked only one mile because it was brutally cold out today. I ain't kidding when I say Saskatchewan winters are 6 months long! November through to end of April. But I have a lovely summer getaway planned with my sons and their friends. We're meeting my siblings and their grown kids in a hot spot in Canada, the Okanagon, where the dry heat gives you a gorgeous tan. I'm already dreaming about it and it's four months away....

That sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun. I hate crappy weather too. It's been so nice these last 2 weeks, but we're going to be getting snow come Thursday, so I'm going to have to say goodbye to spring for a while. Oh well, good job with staying on plan and don't downgrade 1 mile. A mile long walk is a hell of a lot of walking. Anyways, have a good evening.

Hi 2Skinny

Great job on your diet as always! The vacation sounds fabulous. I'm sorry it is so cold there :( I was just walking outside this morning and I was so grateful for spring, hope you get to see spring soon as well!
