Lili's Diary

Hi 2Skinny

Well you're doing wonderful, and the story about your boss is great. Seems as though your boss is pretty cool, I nearly never hear anyone say that. I was wondering, your diet is always right on, do you and your family eat the same thing? I've never had conventional eating hours with my family, but even if we did, we'd certainly not eat the same thing. Do they eat healthily like you? Anyways you are doing a beautiful job, both with your exercise and diet :) Have a great night! ;)

Oooo...another good day! Spot on Anna (if a little low) ;)

Doing that in the wake of meetings and traveling is a HUGE accomplishment!

Hi Lukewarm; my sons and I only eat together at supper meal because we all start our day at different times and are out of the house at lunch. They eat what I have at supper but always much bigger portions. One son packs a lunch and I make sure he has whole wheat bread and fruit. The other one eats healthy from years of competitive athletic sports which involved instruction on nutrition...it's in his blood.

Thanks M2M, you're right, my calories have been low...it's something I want to address by adding some more fat to my diet (cheese, eggs, and hemp hearts) because I want my caloric intake to have 30% fat especially once I start jogging full time again.

Good luck with your weigh in.

I always feel like scale numbers have an element of luck. On the other hand it sounds like you have made some real progress already with the things you can control - your food and exercise.

I loved the story about your boss and the dragon lady too. :D

At least I walked 6 miles, but sheesh. Tomorrow it's another day. It's time for me to get to that gym on a daily basis again. It's been a month since surgery and it's GO time.

Had a good day, got my recycling and groceries done, got my taxes done (I'm getting $3,700 back-all going to debt), went for a walk with a friend to Home Depot, took my dog for a brisk 4 mile walk and then lazed about the house.

I love how slim my fingers are getting, and I love being able to fit into my green corduroy pants that I bought at Le Chateau. Tomorrow it's laundry and house cleaning, but will have time for another walk too. I just can't make it to that gym. The sun is shining and it's warm for the first time since September...gotta get outside.

Have a nice night everyone.

Ohhh...enjoy the good weather :D
As for the skinny fingers - it's nice but it has it's down falls...
I haven't been able to wear my wedding rings in MONTHS!

I guess I'm a FREE woman :D

Good to see you doing so well. You are seeing changes!

Just wanted to let you know I put a pic up in my diary tonight.

You're very funny. Date with veggies. That's what I had alright.

Haha i was just thinkin that a month ago. Now a month later my rings are falling off and i think im gonna have to get them resized. The funny part is that i couldnt get them off without 30 minutes of tugging and lots of lube before i started!!

Here here on the rings. I had one on yesterday... used to be tight but kept falling off!! lol Back to the gym every day is awsome!! I have had a hard time getting back into things but it is so nice post surgery to feel "normal" again:D Hope you are having a beautiful Sunday:)

Duh, I missed your earlier posts about your long runs. I'm very impressed. Glad you' re a runner too. I will think of you next time I"m out. I'm not sure how far I go, just watch the time. Try to go for an hour.

Honest to God that 85 year old man is deep.

Leaving support while you're out there getting it done ;)

I like come in and look at your smile too - as close to sunshine as I'll see today :)

Oh oh. You better get those re-sized before you do something you'll regret. LOL

I know. It's never a good thing when the only finger a wedding ring fits on is the pinky finger

Thank you Mishi. Even though I want to get back to the gym, the nice weather is calling me outside instead.

I used to run (jog) marathons and have been jogging off/on since my last half marathon in 2002. I used to enjoy it a lot more in the past. Blew my knees out, but I can still go now and then. So you're probably going a whole lot more than me. I totally love older people.

Aww, shucks. Thanks T2. You made my day.

Just got back from an 8 mile walk, I have a route that takes me past the university, the lake, science center and arts centre and then back. And looking forward to my fish supper.

Howdy Anna,
Wow 8 miles that is alot of walking! I can do 3 nmiles
and enjoy it and if I had someone to walk with to chat with I can prolly
do more, looks like you have alot of sight seeing on your route which makes
it enjoyable! Congrats on your hard work. I bought the fudge DQ bars for
50 cals and I swear you feel like your cheating lol. Have a nice day Tammy

Wow, what a no-good, terrible, rotten, b.s. day! Nothing but technological problems in the morning, followed by people problems in the afternoon. I stood my ground with this woman, but felt like saying "hey, hey, hey, sugar, pay attention, I'm offering to float over 3 mil your department's way and the best you can do is come into my office and tell me people in my organization at the very top don't want to part with more?" Poor form. Poor form. I came home, had a cry at the bullshit in this world and now I'm off for a 4 miler with my best friend (who gives me NO grief) Rufus. I know I need to find another job...just don't know where yet. The politics are killin' me.
Breakfast; Oatmeal porridge 300 cals
Snack; medium apple 80 cals
Lunch; soup 240 cals, tuna sandwich 230 cals, sunflower seeds 40 cals
Snack; 1 cup grapes 115 cals, Rice crispie bar 90 cals

2 miles to work and 4 miles wid da puppy. I'm going to feel sorry for myself for ... hmmm ... maybe another 40 minutes or so, and then I'm going to watch some NHL playoffs. Good nite all.

float 3 mil to my dept. no hagglin' here, that's for sure. hell I'd even spring for lunch or a new SUV or a house for ya.

I'm not above kickbacks :)

I'm sorry you have the sucky stuff to deal with at work. At least you are giving yourself a great chance to destress because:

Wow! Your food looks wonderful!! Your exercise looks wonderful!! :D
