For those from the US reading this

have not been on the forum and come back to a big spam cleanup lol

It is too hot to do much on the computer at the moment. 43c (109.4) on my verandah today and hubby is currently stuck on the side of a road with a blown tire on the fire truck on his way back from the woop woop (yes it is an actual place) fire.

I hear you re: the computer in hot weather! :( I think overheating's bad for the computer, actually, as well as for the associated human - look after yourself.

Ouch, that sounds like horrible weather. Hope your husband is ok.
he is ok, the truck almost fell on him when the jack fell over, He is out at the same fire today as part of a strike team.

the whole crew is getting a bit of a chuckle over fighting a fire at woop woop, the colloquial place in the middle of nowhere lol

Stupid hot again today, cannot do anything outside, and I am dripping in sweat with the air con on in the living room, fans in the rest of the house. Insulation keeps the place feeling ok inside till about lunch time, then it just feels like a hot box.

woke up early due to not sleeping well in the heat, it was 25 (77) degrees at 6 am before it was fully light outside.

No exercise and eating has been patchy

Anyone would be irritable in that weather. She seems like a pretty happy, active child. Hope things are not too grim your way, Tru. We had lots of smoke yesterday & I still don't know where it came from. It's gone again. How is your Asthma?

I have been avoiding going outside as much as possible in part to avoid the breathing problems.

Baked a cake with bubs help today, yes it is possible to cook and not eat the results.

I want bub to grow up having a healthy relationship with food, everything allowed in moderation, she has a big appetite but is equally active so all good. When she feels full she pushes her food away, there is no forcing her to eat when she doesn't want to, unlike what I went through as a kid where we had to finish everything we were given.

My boys all have a good relationship with food, but the pressures on young girls are immense so I need to be vigilant and get her into good habits before she gets older.

:beating: I love the sound of that and I hope you can arm her with the body awareness and confidence to keep the world's influence at bay.

Little miss is at childcare, it is important for her so she can get all of the social interaction with other kids that she cannot get at home. Felt like I was melting when I went out to get the grocery shopping done earlier. Going to put a chook in the air fryer shortly, cold chicken is a good snack to have available during the day,
