Lift, Train, Fitness

The only way I know to get some deep glute work done without help is to put a tennis ball on some carpet and roll myself over it. But you´re the professional so you probably have the contacts to get it done properly :)

Seems like mainstream is still stuck on their 'fat makes you fat' myth. Hopefully it's only a matter of time before they find themselves forming a club with the Flat Earth Society. *with apologies to any Fessies*

another quiet day, some coaching and some massage work at the gym but an otherwise ordinary booring day.

Completed a bench press only day finishing with 2 sets of 6 @ 87.5 kg (193 lb)just over bodyweight

hit the gym for a squat session this morning, heading to the cricket nets later to help son practice his batting for baseball.

Looks like it going to a bit warm outside today, hubby and I need to start work on doing a big clean-up in the sheds this morning before it gets hot.

was at the gym coaching last night, only one other person in the gym other than us, is it a bad sign when an of duty paramedic knows you from all of the ambulances needing to be called for football lol

Coaching again this morning and also need to sit down and write myself a new program, despite rebuilding my strength ok, I feel like I have been a bit half arse in the gym. Will put together a 12 week bench press intensity cycle.

more cleanup in the big farm shed went ok this morning followed by a good coaching session at the gym, unfortunately as I was driving up the driveway towards the house when I got home from in town there was a very large Taipan stretched across the driveway moving in the direction of the shed :( so I don't feel like doing more cleaning up this afternoon lol

:iagree: Common to see taipans in your area or was this a rare find? Have never had to share my land with poisonous critters....

Taipans are common, they usually live in the gully, Eastern Brown snakes are also common. Red belly blacks are often found living around the sheds but are not aggressive and do eat other snakes. Less common but I have seen one on our 14 acres is the Death adder.

We also get the occasional carpet snake, I like carpet snakes lol, they are not venomous. our last cat was eaten by a carpet snake.

Because most of our 14 acres is bushland we have a lot of wildlife, We have a mob of grey kangaroos pass through most mornings, a lot of native bird-life can be seen as well. I have also seen an Echidna.

The road we live on is bad for road kill and has warning signs up to try and get motorists to keep an eye out for Echidna's and koalas.

Edit: This is why I have a snake kit in the sheds just in case :)

Wildlife sure is different. Koalas and Roos sound pleasant enough but I can do without so many varieties of snakes.

Wikipedia lists carpet snakes as a harmless subspecies of snakes. Guess wikipedia is not written by cats...

I'm glad we mostly have shy snakes :) It must sound funny to people from countries who have mostly harmless animals. I'm just glad we don't have grizzlies (or crocodiles in Tas). At least snakes usually want to get away from you.

Death adder is possibly the most metal name of any animal I know :D And that bird is gorgeous! Never seen a raptor with such an impressive tail.
