That is a hell of a 2 lb difference.

Looks like you lost nearly half your pooch. Maybe more than half.

Thanks! yeah my waist size has gone down about 2 inches, maybe a bit more.

two pounds of fat might not seem like much, but when you do the bodyfat test you would be surprised at how hard it is.

Sure it's easy to lose a pound or two, but for it to be pure fat(could be water weight, muscle, etc.) is really hard and takes a lot of effort... for me anyway.

I know EXACTLY, what you are saying, young man. You are going into an area FEW can withstand the DISCIPLINE necessary to achieve:

YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ROCK ON!

The reason most people never reach their goals is that they don't define them, or ever seriously consider them as believable or achievable. Winners can tell you where they are going, what they plan to do along the way, and who will be sharing the adventure with them.

(Denis Watley)

You have yours defined and there believable and achievable!

You don't have to be a fantastic hero to do certain things - to compete. You can be just an ordinary chap, sufficiently motivated to reach challenging goals.

(Edmund Hillary)

Be motivated and reach your challenge! GO! ROCK THE HELL ON!

Our goals can only be reached through a vehicle of a plan, in which we must fervently believe, and upon which we must vigorously act. There is no other route to success.

(Stephen A. Brennan)

You have the plan, and you believe.........and you will ACHIEVE!

Enter.......self discipline at its BEST and you meet your goal at YOUR REQUEST!

YES BABY!

ROCK ON!

This diet is like the holy grail for me.

I love bulking and not worrying about fat gain...

Now that I know about this diet, I can go on my bulk sessions and just eat like a beast without paying much attention to fat gain.

Then cut off the excess fat in a short time period with a ketogenic diet... and get a net gain in muscle to boot!

This is what I have wanted for a while... I am glad to know it is possible.

Seems too good to be true really.

All stocked up for the carb-up day!

I went to the grocery store and picked up a bunch of food for my first carb-up day this Saturday.

Lots of veggies, some pasta, fruit, milk, bread, etc.

It's gonna be a fun 36 hours.

Although, I haven't really missed carbs much at all. The second day I really wanted some ketchup... but other than that, don't miss them.

Hehe. It's just that you're eating exactly the way I would love to be eating, and going on, in detail, about how great it is. That last comment was my reverse complimenty way of saying I'm happy for you and your awesome results, and that you've definitely convinced me to try keto at some point, instead of forcing myself to eat according to 30/40/30 P/C/F. Maybe right before summer.

oh :)

Well I definitely recommend this diet, I have never been able to lose fat at this kind of rate before.

In fact, the last time I did a cut it took me 80 days to lose 2.5 pounds of fat. Eating a 30/40/30 type of diet... or thereabouts.

So you can imagine that I would support this diet a lot!

This time I believe I am putting more effort into it as well. I don't feel drained on energy like I always use to get when I was eating a typical defecit diet.

I just ate at my maintance level today. I had three straight defecit days in a row so I wanted to go up to maintance or a bit over in an attempt to keep my metabolism high.

I made one stupid mistake, but learned from it. I had a big bag of random protein bars sitting around in my apartment, I found one that displayed on the label "2g net carbs!" And I was like... hmmm let's look at the nutrition facts..

And it had like 23 grams of carbs but 21 of them were from sugar alcohol. Apparently sugar alcohol doesn't affect your blood sugar so I figured I would have it. It was delicious, but for some reason I wasn't thinking straight.

Whether if affects your blood sugar or not, 23 carbs in one meal is pretty unacceptable.

But I just had in mind "2g net carbs"

So yeah, I checked if I was in ketosis about three hours later and I wasn't, it kicked me out of it.

No big deal, really, though. I will just eat my breakfast tommorrow and workout and I will be carb depleted again... and in ketosis.

Tommorrow I will make lots of progress....

How do you tell whether you are in ketosis?
