Let The Battle Begin!

Hi!!

My war with the weight begins again! Although it is never ending!! All my life I'm either gaining or losing weight! There seems to be NO consistency!! (at least not in my head)

I'm 5.1" and 134 lbs and my goal is 125 lbs!

OH and I recently got engaged!! :) as recent as 15th August! SO excited!!!!

I want to really learn how to maintain the weight loss once I reach my goal weight! Also, I started off at 145 lbs in January 2009 and went down to 125 lbs and I absolutely LOVED myself at that number - I do now too but I'll be more comfortable at 125 lbs :p
I never really stopped counting calories OR the gym so I can't say that I'm BACK really! :) I was just eating out more etc since I started dating and what not ;) I'm now back to reality and have realized that I need some discipline ALL my life! :)

I need a LOT of motivation people!!!!!! I hope I can do the same for everyone else here!

SO let the battle BEGIN!!

Sounds like you know exactly what you need to be doing ... you'll be there in no time! :)
 
ALSO,

My workout consists of HIIT and Elliptical and weight training and nutrition wise I count my calories.

The ONLY changes I'm making from tomorrow is that I'm decreasing my weights - I do a lot of them and I'm starting to eat healthy calories instead of blindly eating any kind of calories.
I guess lately that's been my BIGGEST problem - I count my calories but I don't care what kind they are SO from tomorrow - HEALTHY calories and more cardio than weight loss.

I'M VERY VERY VERY DETERMINED for this now..!
 
It's still ON :)

Today, I woke up sick (Cold and cough and ALOT of stuffiness)
I went to the gym anyway and I did the elliptical for 35 minutes.
I normally plan to do anywhere from 45-60 mins everyday!!

Food wise: the last weekend was good (lot of alcohol since we were at the shore but I stuck to MGD 64(s) and red wine!
Didn't have a lot of dessert - just ice cream one day! (that's allowed right?!) ;)

I'm sticking to this SOOOOOOOOOOO bad! Glad I have this site and encouraging ppl!

I did the same today!! (Went to the gym in spite of my health!!) I did 45 minutes of elliptical! yayyyy!

I LOST A POUND!!!!! I'm so excited! :p

I'm really excited about the new challenge that I started! (it's in the club challenges section)
4 lbs in 4 weeks!
I like the fact the weight loss can be slow and steady!

Some math for today! (all the numbers are according to my iphone app - Lose it)
Maintain current weight:1862 calories/day (1862 x 7) = 13034 calories/week
Lose 1 lbs a week: 1362 calories/day (1362 x 7) = 9534 calories/week
(deficit-3500)
Lose 2 lbs a week: 862 calories/day (862 x 7) = 6034 calories/week
(deficit-7000)

All these calorie numbers are "net" so I don't really consume only 862 calories! (it's after my work out etc)
I always aim for losing 2 lbs per week so that way I can AT LEAST lose 1 lb! LOL

SO - I'll put in my log for yesterday and today! (I track it on my phone everyday anyway without fail) :)

Breakfast:
Coffee - 48 Calories
Lunch:
Pad khee mao - 438 Calories (I think I'm overestimating)
Coke can - 146 Calories
Dinner:
Rice and Curry - 375 Calories
Dessert:
Weightwatchers Chocolate Cake (yummm) - 90 Calories

Total Food Calories: 1096

Exercise: Elliptical - 45 Mins (Very Vigorous) - 419 Calories burned

1096 - 419 = 677

Looks less but I didn't go hungry for a sec!
 
Today's log: (My head was pounding as I ran and did the elliptical)
Treadmill 15 mins - 104 Calories
Elliptical 12 mins - 125 Calories

Total burned - 229

Breakfast:
Coffee 48 calories (I need to start eating my oatmeal again but I'm not feeling well so my food intake is low)
Lunch :
Boiled sprouts with fresh green peppers, onions and lime - 124 calories
Snacks:
coffee 48 calories & 2 vanilla flavored wafers (it's funny cuz I would normally never buy that!! Lol my fiancé was eating them and offered me couple!!) 113
Dinner:
Grilled Chicken and rice with pineapple & orange 437 calories
coke 146 calories

Total food calories: 916
burned : 229
Net: 687!! :O

I'm full and happy!

Ours is 8th May. I am going dress shopping in 9 days time- aaarghhh!!! (Excited and also a bit nervous!)

Wow you have achieved some huge calorie deficits for the last couple of days. I bet you will lose really quickly, but you might want to be a bit careful as it can be hard to sustain such big deficits. Well done if you can though!

I know-
My calorie intake has been really low - It's not done intentionally to lose crazy amounts of weight in one week!
A couple of things put together are making me lose my appetite!

a) I'm not well! (I have a BAD cold.cough and headache and what not)
b) My family is going through crazy times.....very difficult but it's all going to be OK SOON...SO it'll take me a couple of weeks to get back on track. (i think)

Today-
Breakfast: Coffee 48 cals
Lunch: Sub 320 cals + lays lite 70 cals + Iced tea 140 cals
Dinner: Sprouts 120 cals . :(
No gym because I'm sick!

SO total calories: 698 Calories

Congrats on the engagement!! Planning a wedding must be the best motivation ever, (there's no way I'd walk down the eisle this size!) have fun planning it all.

Glad to see you've found an exercise routine/food plan that is working well for you.

Wedding is a great motivation and also I'm very conscious of gaining weight when I'm dating/engaged/married! I want to fight the 'happy' weight with all my might!

I have been watching my calories since Thursday but haven't been to the gym because of my health BUT - I am going tomorrow!!

Can't wait to reach my goals!
