I hadn't heard of shawurma - it's like a kebab? Shaved meat wrapped in flatbread?

Its similar...its basically marinated meat (beef fillets marinated with onions, garlic, various seasoning - for at least 4 hours), served with fresh veggies and hot sauce and white sauce (and usually in flat bread). Now i make it with lean beef meat or with chicken breasts. there are other variations regarding the marinating. its very good.

yesterday i spent the day at work, then met a friend and helped her in making a research proposal for Oxford. nice...maybe i could too lol. it was very cool...and fun to use my brain to think constructively after a while lol.

also i got a reply from that dance studio and it said that they're enrolling new members this months and that should come in the evening to check it out and enroll. so i'm gonna probably go today. its about 30% more expensive than the usual aerobic centers...but it does offer aerobics, target zones exercises, dance, yoga and pilates in one place. so i think i will try it out for one month and see. who knows maybe it will already be full by the time i get there today lol.

Hey--that studio is "the answer" to what you're looking for, I think :jump: I seriously believe that! You wanted Yoga, and dance is DEFINITELY therapeutic! Jeez, I didn't even realize how much belly dancing and Yoga have made me feel GOOD about myself, learning something new and elevating my skills. I highly urge you to join and take on these new hobbies! I think it would be great for you! :hurray:

:party: i managed to get in. yaaaaaaay :D starting today i'll be going to that studio thre times a week for different stuff...each week i can change my workouts. so for this week the plan is:

today: pilates
tomorrow: dance
friday: conditioning training (martial arts type of workout, working on both cardio and strength)

so yesterday i came in..ivona the owner was there. it was so weird..so far i've only seen her on tv. anyway the studio is beautiful, it looks very relaxing...with candles, and stuff.

the only problem today is:

I'M SICK :banghead::cuss: i woke up with an enourmous headache...went to work and had to get off the bus :puke: so i went back home. i feel a bit better now, but not completely myself. so keep fingers crossed i manage to get myself out of the house by evening.

ok..i'm off to check on diaries and find an ass avatar...:hurray: before they change their minds.

thanx claud :D i entered all my stats :)

well i didn't get to go to my pilates class yesterday. i don't think i would have been able to do it. so i stayed home and did 30 minutes of yoga...really focusing on my breathing, staying in positions...using my mind to focus on each part of body. made me feel really good...i was relaxed but still felt woken up.

i didn't go to work today because i still feel sick. will go and see my doctor in the afternoon. also i plan on having some ginger tea. supposedly it helps with nausea.

i also got my period...but i don't have any munchies. i'm only eating soups and yogurts...so no fear of going over my caloric intake lol.
i hope i will feel better in the afternoon so i can go to the dance class. apparently the class starts with yoga positions and builds up slowly finishing with a choreography. sounds very nice.

hope you have a great, fulfilling day :D

lol yeah she is hot. she was miss yugoslavia back in the '80s, then she went to London, got into a dance school and after some time became really good as a dancer and choreographer. and she's most known for working with tina turner. maybe she can teach me the 'rollin on the river' dance haha

well i didn't go today either and won't go tomorrow. i have to rest. i will do yoga though. it relaxes me and i definitely won't push myself to hard. i make this up by having very low caloric intake...not that i have a choice. i can only eat yogurts, soups and similar.

tomorrow i have to go and get my blood tested. she kinda described my condition best...like having motion sickness. anyway i'm taking ginger and mint tea and lets hope its nothing serious.

i called the studio..she told me to come on saturday and do 2 classes in a row if i wish: yoga+pilates combo followed by dance workout class. sounds interesting and fun.

i'm sorry i won't be able to go through diaries today. i'm just trying to relax and take it easy.
