30 minutes on the elliptical ism ost impressive.. way to go... have fun at carnivale.. now is it as wild as new orleans mardi gras celebrations are? do you get opportunities to"earn beads"? :D

ok i'll try to explane the carnival in rijeka:

right after 06.01. every year starts the reign of the masks. it begins in the nearby towns and villages. it lasts minimum 4 and maximum 6 weeks. on saturdays there are parties in all of these towns and villages except center of rijeka (that's my hometown). the purpose of it is to gather all the sins you did in the past year, take it to the maximum (masks can do what ever they like-not literaly that's just the expression lol) and at the end burn the guilty party (for everyone it is different-every group or village or town has their 'sinner' -a puppet, usually representing a politician or someone who gets accused for all the bad that has happened in the last year and then he burns for those sins lol).
before this trial occurs all masks and groups from each town and village gather in center of rijeka to show off their masks, carts and celebrate their reign (in the previous week they took the keys of the city and formed their own government lol). the traditional part are those bell-ringers (there are different kind) who ring their bells to chase away the winter.

so we have this every year and afterwards there are numerous parties. and stayed until 2 am, woke up at 6...now i'm at work with a massive hangover lol...(had several bears and i forgot to eat dinner)..so mal it was definitely wild :D

thanx juliette...i'm trying hehe. i can barely keep my eyes open. can't wait to come home and get some sleep. and then later i'm going to my aerobics class :) i hope it won't be too intense so i can keep up.
 
hehe don't worry i know but i'm so tired lol it will be like school again...please don't make me workout too hard teacher lol

Oh Lena, it sounds like soooo much fun!!! I am sooo jealous of you lol. I was just thinking yesterday that in the US, we dont have lots of traditions or culture. It's all become a big melting pot and most holidays are centered around food. I wish wish wish we had some huge nation wide celebration that got everyone out to dance lol. We just take things too seriously here!
Turtlegirl is right- water is the best cure for a hangover!! lol. Just do your best tonight, and make sure you eat some protein before your class so you will have some kind of energy lol! Have fun :)

and i definitely felt amazing yesterday after working out :) you were right. the instructor hit a really hard pace lol but i managed. again coudln't do some exercises so i wouldn't have any back problems, but i sweated so hard lol...had 1 liter of water (i don't know how much is that in oz) just during the workout, and then half after lol. if i gain this week it will be all that beer and water :D

well i believe its because of how large US is and it is fairly new...Croatia had a very turbulent history so people had to keep themsleves entertained i guess hehe.


Cinderelly i have everything here hehe...wanna beer lol (just kidding..here's nice cup of sage tea -just drinking it myself). 13 is my lucky number ...so is 4 but i can have more right :D

although i am in a really good mood...i'm craving food. and i mean craving. i think i could eat everything in the fridge right now. i'm craving it all...salty, sweet. i would love to have a large sandwich with everything in it, a cake afterwards and then some chips after that. don't worry i wont i just needed to say it. i sometimes forget that emotional eating goes for all emotions - including happines. but i did too mayn crunhes yesterday to lose control :D
 
wow, ya i guess I forgot that it goes for happiness too. I will have to remember that. I ate a tiny bit of ice cream last night...blah!! it was like 1/2 a cup.
You are doing soo awesome! keep it up girly :)
 
well 1/2 cup is not a lot :) why don't you try freezing low cal yogurt when you crave and ice cream have that.

so i had today:
breakfast: kellogs w low fat yogurt
lunch: risotto with mushrooms
snack: had about 50 grams of ham alone lol (so i would stop craving sandwiches) and then had handful of nuts
dinner: ham and cheese ommelette (no oil)

not so good for dinner...but no bread and i had only two slices of cheese and about 50 grams of ham (its that ham for pizza...venice would know-prosciutto cotto). and i had three cups of decaf caffe late with splenda and one cup of sage tea (to calm myself down lol)

and i have great news...i'm going to spa from friday till sunday :) girl needs some pampering hehehe (about 20 of us from firm are going).

Wow sounds like lots of fun I haven't had that kind of fun in geeesh can't remeber lol! Whats weird I froze yogart(which I don't like but I tried)and I still hate it but the already lowfat frozen yogart taste like vanilla ice cream? They have to be different! Your doing great and I love the 2 tickers because I am not good with what kilo's mean lol.Have a nice day Tammy

i'm still at work...really had a rough day at work. i didn't have time to eat anything so i grabbed a peice of toast 5 minutes ago :) i'll be making myself beans when i get home, so it will be both lunch and dinner in one and i'll just have some fruit later in the evening.
i'll probabily do some workout today also...i really have this need to empty all the bad and negative energy i feel all day long. it seems people here tend to think i'm a punching bag for their frustrations.
apart from that i feel good. would feel better if there was sun outside.
i will try to post some photos from carnival later this afternoon.

being the punching bag isn't good for you -- hope you can get rid of some ofthose frustrations.. if not - i know many ways to -- eliminate - -people and you can act all innocent :D
 
please share lol :D i tried ignoring, being ironic and sarcastic even straight forward...they all see me as a kid (i'm 28 btw but the youngest one, and i'm there for a year they're all for more than 15 lol)...until i snap...and i don't wanna snap

Hee Hee Hee - well of course you can have as many as you like - I was born on the 13th :) and I like 13 and 3 - it just depends on the number range you get to choose if given a choice - make sence lol ???

Im sorry to hear abt your problems at work - I dont really have an advice for you but I found for myself I need toexercise daily to realise my stress and when I dont I get super cranky and bitsch because it is my release - I hope you find soemthign that works - what do you do and were do you work ???
