Don't be fooled, those are foam pads. You can't drop **** on them. The bench doesn't come out of those power stands, so no back squatting.

The rings are better when hung higher, I swear.

I've also been talking to a recruiter, but maybe some of you guys can help me out too; what programs, if any, exist to provide my education while on active duty? I ask this because I want to go in asap, but don't want my education to fall behind.

I took a practice ASVAB, which is the Navy's placement test. I scored really high, but this is nothing to set my hopes on if I take the real thing and don't qualify for special officer programs.

I can't do that, I have too many credits to transfer (I'm at a community college) to a university and be in ROTC.

I am thinking I am going to get a year to getting my bachelor's and have the military pay for my last year, that way I can get officer right when I graduate and go in. Apparently they've done that for several people my dad works with (AF base, he's a civ).

I was confused as to whether I wanted to enlist and then become an officer, but the more I think about it, the more it looks like a poor choice. Despite the experience I'll get sooner, I don't think it's really what's best for me.

I've looked at all the occupations I am interested in, and they all suggest I get my bachelor's first. The only thing I need to know now is whether or not I can take the ASVAB and not have to commit, instead only using the results to help determine my education towards my bachelors for the occupation I desire.

I'm lookin at the list of the jobs I've compiled, and Ohhhhh baby! It's exciting as hell. Naval Special Warfare Intelligence Specialist, here I come...

12/14-12/15 (midnight workouts...)

Front squats-
5x2 @ 115 warm up
5x4 @ 135

Straight legged deads-
6x2 @ 135
6x2 @ 185

Bulg squats-
6x3 @ 40/hand

Note- This workout took me a LONG time, because I was on Myspace during the rest periods. Yeah, I'm still home.

12/19/06

Went to the beach again, did a lot of heavy pulling and deads-to-press.

Came home and did this:

Snatch-
3x3 from 95-105...my form sucks, I don't have the squat down at all.

OH press-
3x4 at 125

Crucifix/Iron cross on rings to dips (BW)-
6x3

Some other power ring pulls

12/21
Dead singles to new max of 275
Attempted 285 soon after, but lost it at about 5 inches off the ground.

12/22
I just have to say that this was probably one of the hardest, most intense days I've ever worked. The wind was picking up at some high speeds, taking the tarps off the pool like sails while we tried to reel them up. The tarps are so long and the wind was so powerful that 400+ pound reels were being pulled across the deck like they were toys. It was pretty insane.

12/23

Oh press-
Some warm up at 115
Several sets of triples at 145

Single arm db snatch-
Warm up at 40/hand
5x3 @ 60/hand

High pulls-
6x3 @ 115

Merry Christmas yall

I don't get it LeiYunFat..
You train martial arts still aswell right??..
which is cardio sprint and endurance if I remember your style ...

and science says you can lift and eat big for 8-10 weeks before your strength gains drop right??..

aand it was no secret that we all thought back there that you were a reeally good potential title shot ..

You know I was in world title condition not so long ago myself . I recently tried on a massive max lift capacity experiment because of work choices and a little clock freedom ( lifting 81 kgs plus at 42 kg bw plus 12, 20 , 30 , 40 , 50 + all day ( alll daaay) over 10 hr shifts .. but by week 11, lack of sleep from trying to do a relationship really screwed me into burnout twd the end .. but no dooubt that limit is good to know anyway ... especially as I come back into a new routine to see what I can do about my owwn title..

good luck if you're changing course LeiyunFat but.. I just don't get what you're doing..

happy new yr.

Blooming Lotus.

Yea...well, why don't you just go back and to your old high school. -_- that's what happened at our weight room during xmas break lol, all the 'alumni' came back for a 'visit'.

Okay so...I've had about for or five workouts I didn't log since the 13th. Shame on me.

1/22/07

Power snatch- Doubles at 95 for about 3 or 4 sets. I still suck at this movement.

Back squat- 5 sets x 2 reps at 165

Tried GM's for the first time, and I really tried OH squatting...lol.

You know, writting all this down, I really must comment on the ****tiness of this workout. However, since it was my first time back in the gym after about a month, it felt totally awesome.

Bicep hypertrophy ****

Lotus, you're insane. Most of my lifting promotes neuromusclar strength more than hypertrophy. My ROM for all my bodyparts have either stayed the same or gotten better. I only now have trouble stretching my triceps behind by back by touching my palms because my deltoids are like tennis balls.

I've gotten faster, stronger, bigger, and better since I began my log, there is no doubt in my mind at all.

But you're right. I haven't done much of my forms and ma since I've gotten into lifting, but that's okay because as you are probably aware (apparently since you know about everything else I've ever said, ever), I have no instructor. But what I do know are basics. Basics that I'm good at, with regards to my current situation (I also have no training partner, so block, joint lock, chi sau, and sparring drills are all out.).
