Cohen's Lifestyle Leila's Diary on Cohens

Prefix for Cohen's Lifestyle
29th Sept

Well went to a hen's night last night and didn't give in to temptation once! Didn't even want to. It was very strange as they had loads of cocktails circling around- and I used to love them- and it just didn't bother me. I just kept drinking my sprite zero, but in a champagne glass like everybody else, so noone really noticed that i wasn't drinking bubbly with them. And i had a great time! I don't need alcohol to have a good time!

It reminded me of when i gave up smoking, standing around at partys surrounded by smokers and not even wanting one. And not feeling like I'm missing out. The not drinking thing is a big one for me, as I was a big social drinker. So happy about that. Feel that after Cohen's drinking won't have such a hold on me and so half the weight battle is won.

Anyway, needless to say feeling a lot better this morning compared to all the other ladies I would say! I left them at 11pm, just when most of them were starting to get bleary eyed and slurred speech.

A few people commented on my weight loss, but they were the ones who knew i was on cohen's. I did wear my old clothes as i didn't want to spend alot of money on just one outfit, that i was only going to wear once (as i would be too thin for it the next time i go out!) so that didn't really show how much i had lost.

ok, enough for now

Sept 30

Couldn't help myself had a sneak weigh in. Down to 66kg. Yipee! :)

Getting there, slowly but surely.

I've bumped into a couple of people over the last couple of days that haven't even recognised me. I have had my hair cut short and lightened, but it is nice to think that it is because of the weight i've lost too.:jump:

DH father and step mother arrive today, so it will be a challenge over the next few days as it is expected that we will go out to tea whilst they are here. I'll have to explain to them the diet, although i really would rather not, feel a bit embarrassed. Don't know them that well, I've only met them 3 times.

till tomorrow then.

Leila- Don't be embarrassed. Be proud that you are taking the positive steps to ensure your good health & self-esteem. Congrat's on being 1/3 of the way already, cheers, Cate.

Week 6

Well it didn't start off so good weight wise

Only lost 0.8kg! Again disappointed with result. At first I jumped on scales and it went up to 66.2. I had weighed myself yesterday and it was 66 so I was very upset. Then I went to the bathroom and was 65.8kg afterwards, so i'm going to stick to that figure, as it is a better one! I hope next week I lose a bit more than 0.8kg. Something more than 1.5kg would be great!

Oh well that's the way the cookie crumbles
:jump:

Went out to a leaving bash last night and so many people that i hadn't seen for a few weeks (even men!) came up to me and commented on how much weight I had lost! It was great, considering that I have been on it for 6.5 weeks, and I haven't lost all that much compared to a lot of people on here. But it is going down, maybe slowly, but surely, bit by bit and in the right direction.

I jumped on the scales yesterday and was 65.2kg! that makes a total loss of 7.4Kg. That is starting to be respectable.

I am offically wearing those size 12 jeans that i bought a few weeks ago and probably wont be long till there too big considering i have another 11 kg or so to go. If i get all the way to goal, i wonder what size i'll be. How exciting!!!

well better go, DD has just burst into tears about something

Week 7

10th Oct

Well, here we are at the end of week 7! I never thought I would make it this far.

1.2kg off this week, so for me that is pretty good.
Bought new scales which are about 0.5kg less than the old ones (great!!) so i'm going to run with them as they are newer and pretty flash. Measures all sorts of things like body fat, water content etc. Even tells me how many calories I should be consuming- not that matters at the moment.

So I have changed the ticker to reflect the 0.5kg reduction in my offical weights, and changed my start weight too. At least now I have less that 10kg to go!!

Very tired as DD is teething and they are almost breaking through- so this is the worst bit. She is nearly 2 and still only has 12 teeth! She takes ages for teeth to break through. These ones have been really bad and she has really struggled with sleeping, eating etc.

Well that's all. Have a wedding on sat, so I will try on all my skinny clothes from pregnancy to see if anything fits before I go out to buy anything new.

Cheers Leila

Hi Leila, What brand are those scales? I had better get some if they take off .5 of a kilo! I hope you find something lovely to wear that fits because, before long you'll be buying an entire new wardrobe! :D Cheers, Cate

Missing in action

Hi

I know its been ages since I wrote, but a lot has been happening at my end with starting up an eBay business and then deciding to actually start up an on line business that i've not had time to write in my diary. Then to make matters worse we've only just got our computer back from it breaking down last weekend.

so the good news is that i am officially half way! After 8 weeks that's a relief.

Am 63kgs now, so starting to get back to where I was pre babies! People are really making comments now. In fact I had my first person trying to chat me up this morning in the car park at coles.:eek2: I was pretty suprised, and very flattered, even though he definately wouldn't have stood a chance even if he was the last man on earth. Still it is nice to be admired, it doesn't matter who by.

OK better go, have heaps to do, and no time to do it all.

cheers

Leila

Hi Leila

I've been missing in action as well. Back for the first time tonight and just read through your diary again. Well I am blown away with your loss so far you must look so good......you obviously are if you're getting chatted up. Hope you little one is doing better with the teething.

Keep up the posts. And before you know it you will be down into the 50's (kilo's) that is.

Sam:)
