left shoulder joint injured?

ok first of all, can anyone else besides me touch their back further with their left arm than their right?

ok, so about 9 months ago, i was benching at school and i overexerted my bench and popped my shoulder out of place. this was right before winter break so i wanted to get a really good work out in before the break. after popping it, i had this pain in that arm for a few days, then when i came back after a 2 weeks and started benching again, the pain was still there and i couldnt properly bench.

since then, i noticed that my left pec is slightly smaller than my right and that my left row of abs are smaller than the right. also i notice in the mirror now, that my form is slightly off balance when i do the incline. my left arm would be hanging more forward that the right during it. would this all be possibly due to that injury almost a year ago, and would i have to see a doctor, or can i possibly fix it myself?

If your still worrying about it now i would def see a physio to get it properly checked out.

Funny enough my left arm can reach further up my back, about c5? VERY FLEXIBLE. I use to always "pop" my shoulder because it felt so good :11doh:, but anyway i stopped now.

Perhaps the reason in your case is a stretched joint capsule while possibly tearing it or some of your rotator cuff. This would have effected your form, even though you would have continued to do the same exercises the muscle wouldnt have been activated to the same degree.

I mean i dont know sounds quite complex ecspecially becuase it over such a long period of time. Good luck with finding out your problem!

Advice

Have someone take a look at your scapulaes. If there is asymmetry between the two when your are in a prone position, it is a red flag for a shoulder impairment. You should not train with a barbell, if your are experiencing shoulder discomfort. Stabilzie the scapulaes is priority numbe one. This will ensure mechanical integrity at the shoulder complex.

Good luck,
