Leaving Hershey!!!

That's a good idea - I know that 6.5 miles for the week is pretty good - especially for me but dang if it looks like nothing when you're counting down from 500..lol
 
I'm with you guys! I think we should walk 500 total - that's what I thought it was! If it's 500 ea, I give up now! I know I can't walk 50+ miles a week!
 
Your right! It Has to be a group. Because I would have to stop too.I like what we are doing now. Its realistic:p and we all can keep chipping away at the miles.SWEET:D
 
penquin~yep its a group thing, sorry i havent been on in a few days, okay, i am gonna look at everyones ticker/signature It would be great if nobody posted "chat" until everyone posts their total miles so far, its kinda hard to keep up, well, i hope this total is right!!! :)
 
ok, with everybodys total and my lazy 2 miles (been bad weather) I have totaled it to ...... 30.2 miles!! yay!! Okay, I hope to walk alot more, more often, so good luck to everyone and congrats, not bad at all!! Okay, well, ttyl, bye!!!
 
:Okay, I know we dont all have time to walk, or places to walk, or maybe not even weather that permits us to walk...so I am going to post this site, and I was thinking, after u type in ur weight and amt of time of exercise, you can look at what walking says (3.5 mph=17 min mile) and then pick another activity to burn the same amt of calories, for example

For me the calories was 538 cal
Well, if I burn 538 cal, walking 3.5 mph for an hour, I can find another activity that burns 538 calories, or more, in an hour, and let that substitute for the walking the 3.5 miles.

Make since? If not, I will try to explain it differently, or maybe someone else can explain it :confused: Well, let me know if this makes since, heres the site!!!

Ok, i did not walk today, it was my "rest" day ;) I kinda of wish i did, i feel kinda lazy. Oh well, always tomorrow right?

Oh and 30.2 miles is awesome, keep it up guys!
 
Opps, i should have posted this in the other one but i forgot. TravAndEm11804 you said that you needed some motivation, here is what works for me. Sorry if it doesnt help you!

1. I have heard a lot of people get motivated by keeping a picture of themselves, or someone with the body they want. (I prefer skinny) for example if you are feeling lazy you go and watch TV right? Well, put a picture where you know you will see it in the TV room.

2. get a music player (if you dont already have one, ipods are cool cause you can download songs for like $.99) and put some upbeat music on it, when i am walking i always find myself swaying to the music.

3. If you can, find a buddy to walk with, its much more fun when you are talking to someone.

4. and if there is bad weather. GO TO THE MALL! Walking in the mall can be amazing exercise! (just leave your purse in the car, so you want spend any money!)

this site may be even better, u type ur weight in and how long u did an activity (theres a huge list) and it calculates the total calories u burned all day if u include all the activities! EVEN DOWN TO BRUSHING UR TEETH!!!! its pretty cool in my opinion. Here it is if u wanna try~ :)

Its no prob! I know how hard it is to get motivated, but stick with it and you will start to love it! ;) Everyday i am like YAY i get to work out! hehe (yes i know, i am a dork!)
 
alrighty, how is everyones workout/walks? I hope going good! hey, can yall do me a favor? Everytime yall change ur tickers or post ur weight, can u check out the total on my ticker (currently at 30.2 miles) and then post for example

"I got my 3.7 miles in, so thats 30.2 + 3.7, which leaves us at 33.9" and then when I see it I will slide my ticker, it would help lots!!! Thanks in advance :D

ok i walked 2 miles today (in the COLD, WET, RAIN) hehe

so the total is 32.2

I got home from work last night and I was sooo tired but I still walked 2 km.

T&E, Sorry about that, I didn't read all of the posts earlier otherwise I would have done that, I didn't even update my mielage in my signature. (Which I did now!) I assume you updated my miles & I'll take a little more time next time!!! ;)
