Hi from Canada!
I am also on WW, using the points programme. It has worked very well for me, though I don't track my points usually unless I haven't seen enough of a loss. I want to encourage you to ditch your negative self-talk! Your photo is so pretty; you look absolutely lovely. You are NOT a failure just because it is hard to lose weight! If you drop one egg and is smashes on the floor, do you throw the rest of the carton down and stomp on them? :willy_nilly: No way, sister! Just clean up that one egg and take care of the rest! do you see what I mean? Going overboard on points one day does not mean your whole week is dashed; it just means you make better choices starting at your next meal.

Not trying to preach at you; just want to encourage you! You CAN do this.

Best wishes on your journey!:waving:

Hi Lally

Are you still short of energy? Have you had the tests that you spoke of?

If you can improve your energy level and do some exercise it would give you more scope to eat more.

I have a weight watchers pedometer and earn extra points each day. They are not a lot of good to me as I am not on the weight watchers program!!!!

You may get more out of your diary if you record more info. It would then give you something to refer to above what food you ate. It can be worth recording how you feel, what you eat, what exercise you do, what you weight etc.

I think that sometimes your mood can be very telling. Some days we are stronger and more able to cope. We all have bad days.

It can be worth reading other people's diaries to see how they keep motivated. It helps to make friends with other people in the same boat because they can help to keep you motivated.

Good luck with your project.

Take care
Best wishes
Margaret

Yer I had the tests and they came back saying I was fine and had nothing wrong with me!

Ive recently started jogging and walking lotssssssssss and it's made me more tired at 'bedtime' and I've established a better sleeping pattern and just generally feel better on the whole

I've been binging again.. grr.. I don't know why?

I'll be full and about to go to bed and I keep ransacking the kitchen.. I'm such a mess

Hi Lally

It is great that the tests came back and said that you were fine - and excellent that your exercise and sleep patterns have generally improved.

I am concerned that you have started binging again. Most of us have been there.

Often I believe that the mind is behind such things.

Last time it happened to me it was a couple of months ago - and it was because my weight got stuck and did not come down at all no matter what I did. One day I just snapped and started raiding the cupboard. When I am in that mood I can eat anything and everything that is not nailed down - it doesnt matter whether it is something that I like or not, whether it is in date or not. An item to eat enters my mind and I get an uncontrollable urge to eat it.

Thankfully I snapped myself out of it and didnt do any lasting damage to my project. I got quite a few distraction phone calls the next day from my husband and mother - making sure that I was not having another episode of it.

I cannot help but remember that I noticed you post a question about a new boyfriend's potential expectations. Is it possible that this is troubling you and causing you to binge? If not - is anything else preying on your mind.

Problems can so easily result in a binge.

Dont think of yourself as a mess - accept yourself as a person with a problem that is trying to resolve it as best you can.

Take care
Love
Margaret

Hi Lally
Margaret is soooo right, and gives such wise advice! There IS something behind your binging. If you can figure out what it is that's stressing you, perhaps you can lay it to rest. I have been there, more times than I care to admit. I find that as long as I am drinking lots and getting adequate protein, I am less likely to binge. "That time of month" is very hard on me; I do seem to crave chocolate, and I do give in - just on a much smaller scale than I used to! I love portion controlled packs of yummy things. I also pick up WW desserts when they are on sale (and hide them from my family!!!).

Hang in there! You're not alone on this journey. Good for you for exercising and journalling your food. You are getting there!

Cheers & best wishes.
