Lack of motivation through not liking the gym?

Does anyone else ever feel like they don't want to lift on certain days because they know the gym will be busy?

It really annoys me to not want to go because I know it's busy as hell. I really want to push myself, but feel I have to do it between random people etc.

I love the feeling I get coming home when I'm tired as ever, but hate the feeling of going and facing the start.

I might just sign up for a different gym, but it's massive compared to the one I go now. Plus I'd be there legally, so may work out better. Along with it being 10 quid cheaper, with it also being closer, buy a bike lock and it's like 5 minutes away...

Abit ranty, but hey.

I concur... Join the new one forget about it.

You should join the new gym. If its massive compared to the one you go to now then there will be alot more machines and equipment to use to perform many different exercises. That will be a good variety. It is also closer and I'm guessing more conveniant. So try that out and see how you feel. Compare it to the experience you attained from going to the other gym and if you still aren't satisfied then maybe try creating your own home gym. These are just some suggestions :) Goodluck!

My gym has a lot of people sometimes. But overall it's nice and quiet. When it's too busy, I just go home and do something outside. I don't worry about it because I know I'll be able to exercise later in the week.

I still live with my parents, so I don't think it's on the cards for now. I've got a decent sized garage away from the house at the back that I could get some stuff for, but the floor is on a slight angle (to stop water building up in there) so I don't think I could.

I'm going to go check the other gym out on the weekend and see what it's like, it's got a 400m running track inside I've heard.

Oh I see. Well then give the new gym a go and hopefully it all works out!
