Im so excited!!!!!!!

I had to post this because Im soooo excited!!!! Dr. Thomas from my job just called me, and I have to meet with her and her trainer on this coming sunday, so I can ride her thoroughbred horse in front of them and get to know her. Then I get to start training and riding her all I want, and even show her if I can get her to that point!! I miss riding soooooooo bad, I spent last summer doing eventing and stadium jumping, and competitive trail and endurance riding. It got so expensive I had to quit, and havnt ridden since. Dr. T just bought a NICE horse, does dressage and jumps a bit, but she injured her shoulder and doesnt know if she will be able to ride again. I feel so bad for her. She is pretty tough though, so if anyone can pull through and ride again it will be her. She is having surgery on tuesday, so I hope she does ok. Wish me luck with the horse!! Im nervous what if I get dumped in front of them?!?!? LOL
 
Congratulations on the horse. Want to see pictures.

Exercise is good for cramps. You get into it that you forget about the pain.
 
The class definatly made me feel better. I was informed that they are adding a new class to the schedule called "BodyJam" and its a dance aerobics class that works your core, and they are looking for instructors. The certification is in about a month, they havnt set a date yet, but she said she would add my name to the list!! I am so excited!!! What a good day!!!

Well I actually had a pretty good day, despite my awful stomach-ache morning. My pain meds kicked in right before the morning step class, I would have DIED if they didnt. Here is how my diet looked today.

Breakfast...Kashi golean crunch, with organic skim milk, almonds, blueberries, and strawberries, and 1 medium banana

snack...chocolate luna bar.. serious chocolate cravings occuring today

1 hour step class

lunch...I was having a weird craving for milk, I NEVER drink milk from a glass, and for whatever reason I wanted some, so I had a cup of milk. And I randomly wanted and peanut butter and jelly sandwhich, but I didnt have any bread, so I put peanut butter and jelly on a slice of whole wheat pita bread, and it was oh so yummy. had a few grapes and baby carrots with it

snack... breyers light yogurt

another snack... Im hungry today, I hate being a woman sometimes, so I had a bowl of grapes and cut strawberries, and sipped green tea

pre workout meal... bowl of oatmeal with a bit of protein powder

1 hour step class

post workout meal... about 5 ounces of grilled chicken breast, 3 medium stalks of broccoli with a few almonds, and a couple spoonfuls of baked beans. yeah I know the beans are bad, but they are my favorite. I LOVE baked beans. Could eat them cold out of the can. I was STARVING when I got home, I probably didnt need quite so much food, but oh well thats ok
 
ugh

what in the world? its like 11 at night and I am totally WIRED. I could do like 3 more step classes right now, Im not even kidding. And Im STARVING. I have tried to wait it out to make sure it wasnt a craving, but it wont go away. So I had a bit of peanut butter on low carb whole wheat pita. Is that a bad nighttime snack? I dont usually eat this late at night, but I get the feeling Im not going to go to sleep until I eat something. I havnt done grocerys yet this week, so I am kinda limited on what to eat. Going grocery shopping tommorow evening. Any suggestions?
 
Fruits, vegetables, chicken, tuna, pretzels, peanuts, etc...

Don't think that bedtime snack should effect you. It sounds good actually.
 
7/21/06- Am

I think someone slipped some Speed or something into my dinner last night, and then some into my midnight snack... I didnt fall asleep until 230 AM, and even then I dont know how I managed to fall asleep. I woke up this morning completely wired, and had massive energy during my 530 class. I was hungry all freakin night until I fell asleep, and woke up hungry. I wonder if I didnt get enough calories for the activity I did yesterday and it finnaly caught up with me last night? I suppose before I went to bed I had about 1800 calories... If I feel like that again tonight, I think Im gonna up my calorie intake about 100 or so and see if that helps. I ended up eating a few more crackers and another tablespoon peanut butter last night. My stomach was growling so loud it was ridiculous!!!
 
Whew I was TIRED today. After my morning step class and I got to work, my eyes starting hurting and I REALLY wanted to take a nap. BAD. I wasnt that hungry today, usually Im hungrier. I think I had alot on my mind last night and that is why I couldnt sleep. A few job opportunities have opened up, or are opening up shortly, that will allow me to go back to school full time. I will probably be quitting my job at the veterinary clinic soon, within the next couple weeks. I cant stand it there anymore, Im so unhappy. I want to go back to school so bad. If Im lucky I can make it in the fall semester.
Anyways, here is how I did today...

breakfast... bowl kashi go lean crunch with strawberries, blueberries, almonds, and organic skim milk

1 hour step class

post workout snack... peanut butter on pita bread

mid morning snack around 11 ish... yogurt breyers light

lunch... turkey burger no bun, with salad, 1 apple

snack... grapes and a few almonds

dinner... I was REALLY busy this evening after work between going by the school and talking to a counseler, and doing grocerys, I ended up going to subway and having them fix me a spinach and chicken breast salad. It was surprisingly good and healthy, and filled me up

snack... handful almonds because I was on a cleaning rampage, and wanted to dispose of the almost empty almond bag and replace it with a new full bag I bought. Also an apple
 
LOL yeah Im silly, I get into these moods where I will CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN, until its spotless. I clean the refrigerator out REALLY good everytime I do grocerys, my mom and dad stepdad are definate packrats, they put leftovers in there and forget about them and will constantly open up like 5 things of ketchup, 2 tubs of margerine, etc. Drives me nuts. Anyhow, here is what my dad looked like today. I was definatly busy, its now 827 at night, and im finnaly sitting down. whew!

Breakfast...1 cup kashi golean crunch with organic skim milk, blueberries, strawberries, almonds. and 1 medium banana on the side

snack... 60 calories worth of dark chocolate (pmsing sorry lol) and 1 stick of string cheese(50 calories)

lunch... chicken and fat free mayonaise on sprouted grain bread. 4 mini quaker rice cakes, and 1 apple. I was having another sweet tooth

snack... 1 plain whole wheat pita (60 calories). not so good I know, but it was the only thing I had. I had just run into the store to get them and wasnt going home, but was really hungry, and I love pitas. lol at least it was something

dinner... I took my friend to dinner for her birthday to olive garden. wish she didnt pick olive garden, as we are going AGAIN tommorow night because my aunt is in town. they do have a salmon fillet now that comes with steamed broccoli, which isnt drowned with butter sauce. it was probably about 8 or 9 ounces of salmon, and I cut it in half and brought half home. I had a bit of the salad at the beginning of the meal, but no breadsticks!! i did good!! I used to eat 5 or 6 of those things whenever we went. I had half a glass of red wine, and a glass of water with my meal. I guess that wasnt too bad. The fish wasnt overly marinated or anything, so it couldnt have been too bad.

Wish I could pass the temptation on the breadsticks. Don't think one would hurt, but very good on the breadsticks.

haha yeah im terrible with them. Once I start I cant stop. So I made myself choose either a glass of wine or 1 breadstick...the wine was more tempting.:) we are going back to olive garden AGAIN tonight, my aunt is in town and insists we go to olive garden. I am gonna be all salmoned out as I am eating leftover salmon for lunch today. Im poor so I cant waste my food LOL


Im soooooooooo excited though, I got to ride again today!!!! A big beautiful, TALL thoroughbred horse. She is soooooo awsome. My old boss who Im really good friends with owns her, and she has problems with her shoulder, so she cannot ride anymore, but wants to keep the horse because she loves her so much. So now I get to take a riding lesson once a week from her trainer for FREE, and I can ride her whenever I want and show her next summer!!!! It felt so good to be back in the saddle again, I rode almost every day last summer, but it got so expensive I had to quit. I missed it sooooo much!! anyways, I just had to let that out
 
I will, definatly! my mom is coming with me next sunday to ride, and she is going to take pictures:D Wonder how many calories riding burns if you ride hard? I was definatly out of breath alot, and my legs felt like jello afterwards. lol

I didnt do very well with eating tonight. I definatly ate too much food at olive garden. I didnt eat the breadsticks again, but I did end up eating the whole piece of salmon, and it was a pretty big piece... I was sooo hungry though. I dont feel full though at all, maybe it wasnt so bad. probably a million calories in it though.

snack on the way home.... luna bar they are soooooooo good

lunch... 3 or 4 ounces of salmon leftover from the other night. I still have another piece in the fridge. Im gonna turn into a fish. I had a spinach and carrot salad too. 1 medium apple

snack... 65 calories dark chocolate, 1 small tablespoon peanut butter on slice of sprouted wheat bread

dinner... olive garden again, ugh. i had a bit of the salad, big piece of salmon, broccoli. no breadsticks!! a tiny bit of wine. Im about to do a shot of tequila to try to knock me out so I might sleep some tonight. I havnt slept much at all lately. Have another headache tonight, I think its from stress

I would say I did pretty good today. I went out to lunch with my dad because we hardly ever see each other anymore because of our schedules and such. I did have a salad though, with grilled chicken and light rasperberry vinigerette. dont know how calorific it was though. I didnt use much dressing, but it was soooo good. I got up and taught the new routine with Stephanie, and I did good!! I think I might finnaly have that routine down square...we shall see lol

415 am... bowl kashi go lean crunch, with blueberries, strawberries, and almonds, with organic skim milk

530 am... step class 1 hour

7:00am luna bar...it was cookies and cream flavor, I could have eaten a hundred of them

10:00am breyers light yogurt

12 noon... salad at resturant with grilled chicken, lettuce, 1 egg white, tomatoes, cucumbers, and about 2 or 3 tablespoons light rasperberry vinigerette...hopefully it wasnt too bad. Had a tiny bit of swiss cheese on it too.

230pm... grapes and a few almonds

4:45... Peanut butter and jelly sandwhich on sprouted grain bread, with a few baby carrots, and a banana. This is sorta my post workout dinner

5:45... step class 1 hour

8:30pm... Got home late and was starving after working out, so I had a pita with about 1 1/2 tablespoons peanut butter, with 1 medium apple
 
I think I could literally live off of peanut butter, pita, and apples. peanut butter is my new chocolate...sorta :)
