Hello everyone!

I am Krys and this is my very first post ever. I have been reading for a bit to get a feel of this place.
I figure I should just jump in and get this going.

I am a mom of 5, through 4 successful pregnancies. The funniest thing was that I gained the least during my last pregnancy even though I was carrying twins!

While my hubby says he loves every inch of me and that he helped make me this way.... I hate it! I am tired of carrying around this weight. When we first moved here in 2012 I was wearing a size 28 jeans!!!! Depending on the brand... I am wearing now between 18 to 22! I lost a lot of weight when we moved here and quit drinking Mountain Dew and was walking around for work. This is even after quitting smoking!!!

Now I don't do as much moving but still more active than before we moved here. I am back to drinking MD but working on getting out of drinking soda. I am working to lose the weight so I can eventually have a panniculectomy. As it stands now.. I will be half my size if I could do it today. So I need accountability to get this weight off.
If I can remember to check in here every now and then... I should finally lose this weight!!

Hi, Krys & welcome to the forum. Keeping up with 5 kids would keep you fairly active I would imagine. Cutting out soda will make so much difference. Well done on reducing so many sizes already. You can do this!

Welcome to the forum. There will not be much room for that soda if you keep to your 21 day challenge target of 12 glasses of water a day.

I'm looking forward to checking up on how you go with that.

As Cate says - running around after 5 children will be quite a lot of exercise before you start. If I were you I'd be tempted to wear a pedometer for every step of the day so that you could see how much and feel good about it. Feeling good about your effort helps you to stay motivated - and motivation levels can be strongly linked to overall success.

Welcome to the forum! It sounds like you've made some wonderful progress so far.

Well, the kids are older but they still keep me going. LOL So I have been working on drinking more water. I have unfortunately, allowed myself 1 soda per day. I know it's not the best but I know that is the only way I can get myself going. I did join the YMCA. We have went to workout Tue, Thur, and today!!! I am so proud of myself! I even feel good... even though I am sore as all get out! LOL
