Regardless if anyone reads my diary or not, I'm doing this for myself, to help keep me on track.

First of all, let me tell you alittle bit about myself. I am 20 years old, 5'10'', and my highest weight ever was 300 pounds. I have been overweight my ENTIRE life, which resulted in me being teased and very self conscience at school. I have never been happy with the way I look and have been battling my weight since middle school. It's a never ending cycle. Back in '06 I went on the Atkins diet and lost 40 pounds, but gained it all back (plus 15 more) over summer, due to eating waffles and ice cream every morning. My bad eating habits have stuck me back into the same situation I found myself previously, plus adding on more weight. Now, I am determined to lose weight, and am taking it one day at a time.

My approach this time? The Atkins diet (again). Although I have tried every other diet out there, this is the only diet that works for me. I'm substituting soda/pop for water and planning on going to the gym, plus adding in other forms of exercise.

I started Atkins on March 18th, with a starting weight of 281.5

03/21/09 - 276.0
03/22/09 - 274.5
03/23/09 - (didn't weigh in)
03/24/09 - 272.0
