knees

Hello everybody! Well, i have a bit of a problem with my knees. The usual shape of the leg is wider in the thighs, then comes in at the knee and then out again in the calf. Mine on the other hand, just sort of narrows down starting at the thigh... not the desired shape. I am not fat, but i DO have that bit of fat around my knees. Also, my dad has the same shaped legs, so I'm getting that feeling that even if i lose the weight and work out my legs, i will still have that shape.
I was talking to my friend, and she said that maybe if i try to build up the muscle in the calf it will balance out, and create the slight definition? Do you think that could possibly work??
Also, how do i get rid of the fat around my knees? Seems to be the hardest for me, because I started eating healthy and working out (nothing too crazy) around 5 months ago and have seen some great results, but the knees still have that undefined look.

i guess its your bone structure that gives it the shape in which case i should say working your calfs should compensate for it.

but dont get obsessed with the whole thing there is nothing really wrong with a shape like that.

As far as the fat in the knes are concerned stick to the weight training and some moderate cadio once or twice a week

Well yes, if your calves aren't developed then that's part of the problem. Does your dad workout?

If you want to get rid of fat around your knees you probably have to clean up your diet. What is your diet like? What do you do for workouts?

I agree with what was said above. That fat will come off through proper nutrition and exercise. Have you neen weight training? If not. I highly recommend it. And yes, building up the calf muscle may help give you a more balanced look. Weight training is excellent for fat loss as well.
